Most trans people's parents are as "normal" as anyone else's. We went to church, Catholic school, etc. and lived "normal" lives. Like LGB people... not different from that. Some had unusual parents, but majority are just people. You see us everywhere and from all walks of life.

Actually, we don't generally give detrans a hard time. The trans people I know are live and let live. Many detrans still have trans friends. We honestly don't care. However, none of those detrans are trying to make laws against others transitioning. That's the difference.

That's my take. Being strongly pro-civil liberty I don't like the idea of the government tracking people period. Plus the passports can be so easily converted into tracking other things once Covid is done. Lockdowns are overkill and make the "cure" worse than the illness.

Yes, they must surrender! People forget that in wars, the objective is for one side to SURRENDER. Then, terms can be drawn up and hostilities cease. Why have a ceasefire if this will mean that the fighting continues, later -- after the losing side has had time to regroup? No.

That said, speech should be free and information shared without a political agenda. Receiving trans med care is not a politcal movement but a personal, adult decision. Politicizing trans is the worst thing to happen to us. Puts our care in danger as it is seen as an agenda.

I agree. I also have no idea why anyone would want to peg themselves as "trans" without dysporia. Being trans is not an easy road, even without discrimination. I like being me, but I also know it's a tougher life than if I was born XY. Trans is a "thing" now. Not good!

If they did, that would be their business. But these people tend not to do that, since they didn't see a need. They weren't out to stop anyone else from transitioning. They saw their detrans as a personal decision and some didn't regret transition, they just wanted to stop.

Again, the people I know who detrans took personal responsibility and didn't blame others. They saw it as either their own mistake, OR they saw transition as a necessary thing but now they were going to another phase in their life. It was not politicized.

I've seen it on the "right" as well. My own leaving of the far left was in 2008-2009 and was very difficult. More difficult than transition. Now with reactionary forces on the right (that the left had warned me about) in full ascensionn -- I am not on either side definitively.

I have no regrets and am thankful for the hormones and surgery. Started 32 years ago. However, I was careful to not do a hysto as it didn't appear necessary with testosterone. Everything stopped in that area. I think careful, thoughtful medical intervention is a gift.

That is really the issue. A social transition or trial transition including dressing and name change is one thing, but hormone blockers are entirely another. That's a huge decision for a young person and has permanent physical issues. No one really knows what they do.
