Sorry, but a “slight” or “temporary” change to a woman’s menstrual cycle from a pharmaceutical intervention is a really big deal and all the headlines minimizing this are dangerous gaslighting of the worst kind.
The WHOLE POINT in being against vax passports is not bc we care about going to gyms or restaurants. The POINT is that we should never ever ever submit to a social credit system in which the government gets to decide what behaviors merit total access to society. DO YOU GET IT??
KKK: Your skin color tells me all I need to know. Once I know your color, I know exactly what to think of you and how to treat you.
Woke: Your skin color tells me all I need to know. Once I know your color, I know exactly what to think of you and how to treat you.
Want to tell you guys a story.
When I was 12, my brother (15) went on a school field trip at a lake. No one saw what happened but my brother ended up under water for more than 10 minutes and when they found him he was dead. They spent ~30min resuscitating before he breathed.
What I’m learning from the Libs of TikTok situation is that the progressive left really doesn’t like their own beliefs and ideas to be leaked into the mainstream at a rate and in a manner they don’t control.
What I wish on everyone is that your heart would be increasingly open to the possibility that there’s a God who loves you. That you would be open to being honest with him about why you don’t believe in him (if you don’t) or why you trust him too little (if you do).
I’ve wondered if it’s worth sharing “my story.” I’m a pretty private person so it feels weird to share. But I think it’s worth it bc we all need encouragement that ordinary ppl can do something about what’s happening to our country. So, why do I talk about Woke stuff?
🧵
This story isn’t about me. But does it have something to do with why I have faith - why I operate with an understanding that the ‘settled’ science is fallible and there are more dimensions to our humanity than what is seen and measurable? Of course.
I watched my parents (not unintelligent people, my dad with a PhD in biology), pray to Jesus for a miracle to heal their son. It makes no sense that he was healed. Many many things happened that medically make no sense, resulting in his recovery.
On Coddling
After my brother’s near-drowning, he had to relearn most things. By “most things” I mean: how to control his hands and arms, how to direct his eyes at something, how to swallow his saliva, how to stand, how to walk, how to talk, etc.
It also has to do with why I know it’s okay (more than okay - necessary) to hold fast to your hard-won convictions, especially when Very Smart People tell you those convictions make you pitiable. I’ve applied this lesson on battlefields in my own life. (Have shared some here.)
Long story short, less than a year after that neurologist’s prognosis with 100% confidence that my brother’s tenuous life wasn’t worth preserving, my brother walked off the elevator and greeted the nurses in that ward at the children’s hospital.
Open war is upon us, there is no “safe” any more. Choose which kind of “unsafe” you want. Fighting lies is always preferable to being ruled by them. I believe they can be defeated. I believe the truth will prevail.
Thanks for reading my story, I’d love to hear yours. 16/16
Maybe I shouldn’t be proud of it, but I also learned to use their woke rules against them. When a staff member said I couldn’t speak to a topic bc I’m straight, I told her it was wrong of her to assume about my sexuality just bc I’m married to a man. She immediately groveled. 11/
One last thing: the effects of suffering (trauma) in a person’s life shouldn’t be viewed as necessarily negative. I know my suffering as a kid (some of it truly traumatizing) was a gift to me.
My friend’s parents, who are Russian immigrants to the US, were speaking Russian to each other in a restaurant when someone approached them and said a number of rude things to them. They’ve decided it’s not safe to speak Russian for now.
He had to relearn everything. How to move his limbs. How to swallow his spit, form words, hold his body upright, eat, walk. Thousands of people prayed for him. Miracles happened. Things that don’t make sense. There are too many stories to tell about his recovery in this thread.
Having survived an attempted power grab and character assassination by a woke mob, I’ll say it’s painful to be mistreated by ppl you trusted. But if you care more about maintaining your integrity than what people think or say about you, you’ll emerge with your dignity intact. 13/
Gay “marriage” is bad for society and this shouldn’t be controversial.
The state has a vested interest in heterosexual marriage bc *only* these unions produce new citizens *and* provide the environment that gives children the best chance to thrive — w/ a bio father & mother.
If you’re the right kind of protest, you can cause death, billions in property damage — the govt will cheer your cause, pitch in for your bail.
If you’re the wrong kind of protest, you can be peaceful, cause no damage — the govt will call you terrorists and seize your assets.
If you don’t fight this nonsense now, wherever it’s showing up in your community, there’ll be nothing good, true, or beautiful to defend soon. We will be ruled by lies and power while being told we’re progressing toward truth and justice. 15/
My brother never ‘woke up’ from his coma. He emerged slowly, painfully, one tiny victory at a time. The kinds of victories that wouldn’t be noticed by anyone but desperate loved ones clinging to hope while plausibility is constantly whispering the folly of it.
Honestly, something that gives me hope in these uncertain times is that for people who are accustomed to comfort and an illusion of control, suffering hardship would not be entirely a bad thing. I don’t wish suffering on anyone, of course.
Don’t apologize for vague accusations of “harm.” It’s not a fair fight. They don’t want dialogue. Expose their inconsistencies - show how their demands won’t achieve what they claim to care about (helping the poor, etc). It’ll require some reading and a lot of courage. 14/
Next day my parents went back to the experts and said: look, we know we don’t know anything and you guys know everything. But we can’t kill our son. All we have is our faith. Yeah, we know we look very foolish. But we’re going to pray for a miracle instead of taking your advice.
Women are less likely to be disagreeable and worse at dealing with disagreeableness and this is one reason why the increased inclusion of women in the higher strata of our institutions (academia, the church, etc) is causing these institutions to suffer.
What also became apparent quickly was they didn’t want to resolve any real harm. They wanted control of the organization. They stated explicitly my husband was incapable of running an org that addresses trauma (an org he founded!) bc he’s straight, white, male, and Christian. 8/
@JradRabel
So… she really believes some flight attendants immediately sneezed into their hands after ripping their masks off and yelled “this is MAGA airspace”?? Dang, they’re starting to believe in the alternate universes they’re creating with their “journalism.”
After some months, when it was clear to them we wouldn’t budge, the ones making demands left “on moral grounds,” accusing us of every phobia and calling the org “white supremacist.” We’ve always partnered with ppl of every ethnicity, creed and identity, so this is laughable. 12/
At the hospital they gave little hope for survival. The odds were stacked too high - pneumonia from lake water in lungs, swelling of the brain, etc etc. Days turned to weeks that we were told every day to expect him to die.
My dad wandered out of the room in shock. Collapsed on the first nurse’s shoulder and wept. Came home to tell us. My mom was all dressed up for a high school reunion. Instead, we all sat on the bed weeping, silent, aching, praying the whole evening.
Randy loved my brother — enough to make him go through physical and mental pain and intense frustration to shatter our notions of what was possible for him. What is this but a metaphor for a life well-lived? “Safe spaces” and “comfort zones” are anti-growth and anti-life.
We have successfully relocated our family from Seattle to my parents’ 10 acres in North Idaho and are beginning the years-long project of developing our family compound.
Here’s a little tour for my friends who want to follow our progress from the very beginning.
He was transferred to a much bigger children’s hospital in the nearest big city. Top pediatric neurologist was flown in to evaluate: told my dad, “I’m 100% sure he won’t make it. Wouldn’t say this in front of him if I weren’t sure. The compassionate thing is to pull the plug.”
I wrote organizational position papers on how Critical Social Justice compromised our work by being in direct conflict with a number of our organizational commitments, namely, being evidence-based, valuing the individual, cultural humility, and allowing for true diversity. 10/
We noticed shared rhetoric among the staff. Terms we heard often:
“systems of power and oppression”
“hegemony”
“marginalized identities”
“intersections”
“centering”
“deconstruct”
“knowledges”
“normativity”
Didn’t understand the ideology behind it, started doing some reading. 5/
We began having all-org sessions trying to discern what was happening and what was needed. It was quickly apparent there were no specific actions or incidents that could be deemed harmful. The accusations were always vague and abstract, about “identities”, “systems,” etc. 7/
What I won’t forget:
How they said it would be two weeks.
How they shut down churches but kept abortion clinics and weed stores open.
How Canadian pastors were arrested.
How doctors in lab coats knelt to mobs of rioters while ppl weren’t allowed to visit their loved ones.
We also have to want what’s on the other side of the pain. We have to be determined to do the thing that makes our legs wobble. We have to be ok with failure, not be too proud to fall down. I want this for my kids and myself. It’s terrifying, but it beats the alternative.
“We were just ‘in the dark’ haha. We’re not a threat to you or your basic liberties should something like this happen again haha. Best if we all forget what we said back then haha.”
The Woke Mob: my survival story
My husband and I co-founded a justice-oriented non-profit org 11 years ago. At the time, we knew nothing about Critical Social Justice or Critical Theory. Our motivation was to address disparities in mental health care. 1/
It doesn’t even have to be something as important as sex — *anything* an adult talks about with a child and then tells them not to tell their parents they talked about is a huge red flag that this adult doesn’t have the child’s best interest at heart.
@MrAndyNgo
I know people like to make fun of all these mugshots, and I admit some of them have made me laugh too. But wow... it’s heart-breaking to see all the mental illness in our country on display in these photos. Not an easy problem to solve.
Then a few years ago we noticed a tone shift among our program staff. They became hyper-critical of *everything.* As Executive Director, my husband felt he was always on trial. Every word and action was scrutinized. We couldn’t figure out where this was coming from. 4/
Then the open letters started. The letters always went to everyone in the org (from the graphic designer to the governing board), they always asserted vaguely that the organization was “causing harm,” and they always ended with demands. We were alarmed and confused. 6/
Are you forgetting to be in love with life? Did you count the last breath you took as a miracle? Do you ever consider that you began in God’s imagination and He treasures you?
Anyway, I am thrilled to share we are expecting a baby boy in July. 🤍
People who think white people don’t know what it’s like to have your name mispronounced by everyone in America obviously don’t have any Polish, Czech, or Welsh friends.
I don’t know what’ll be required to rebuild academia and other parts of American culture where safety-ism and victimhood mindset reign. But I know if we love our children (and ourselves) we won’t indulge in that poison for a second. And we’ll help others see it’s toxic, too.
I don’t know what Alex Jones said. I’ve never watched his show. So I’m leaving aside all particulars of the incident(s) in question and observing:
Someone is being fined $1B for saying things. No matter how hurtful or untruthful the statements, this seems a terrible precedent.
Big changes coming for us. After living our entire adult lives in Seattle, my husband and I are moving our family this summer to 10 acres in North Idaho.
We hired clinically trained mental health professionals to develop our curriculum, oversee MEL, and run the international training program. Everything went great for about 7 years. We got accolades from all the right people in academia and partnered with orgs in 50+ countries. 3/
We’d learned that lay people (ppl without clinical training) made up the majority of trauma care providers around the world working with vulnerable populations (refugees, human trafficking survivors, etc). We wanted to help equip those lay people with good resources. 2/
The biggest threats to totalitarianism:
1. Biblical literacy
2. Strong marriages
3. Healthy nuclear families
4. Vibrant local economies
5. Robust education
6. Honest journalists
7. …
What else? This list helps make sense of the globalist strategy in the “culture wars.”
Confession:
I was very nervous about going on Timcast IRL. I slept only a few hours the night before. My stomach hurt. I’m an introvert and have always dreaded “public speaking.” I also hate seeing myself on video. 🙈
It was still worth it. Not speaking is not an option now.
Men, just bc you can father children for more years than women can birth children, doesn’t mean you don’t have a “biological clock.” You’re not prioritizing the child’s well-being if you put off child-rearing til your late 30s/early 40s. Kids thrive with energetic, playful dads.
You can’t just rail against woke ideology and make it your mission to purge it from society.
Negation isn’t enough. A positive moral framework must be proposed in place of the one that has enchanted and captivated so many.
My stance on the vaccine has almost nothing to do with the vaccine itself and almost everything to do with an ethical and political line in the sand that I believe it’s very important we never cross.
@ConceptualJames
“Extremist white supremacist groups marching and menacing our communities” has to be one of the most exasperating examples of gaslighting this election cycle. So sick of it.
Thinking abt the time my husband and I were at a wedding and this big tatted-up guy walked over and said to him: “Hey, you probably don’t remember me, but you shared the gospel with me in high school and I mocked you. Just wanted to apologize and let you know I’m a pastor now.”
Dumping out Russian products and canceling Russian food and Russian literature is mindlessness and only makes Russian people feel unsafe and unwelcome. Most of them are as heartbroken about this war as anyone else.

“despite a person’s ACTUAL contributions and knowledge they aren’t worth keeping around academia if they’re guilty of wrongthink” 🤦♀️
It was after a few months of equine therapy that my brother was standing up, walking, and swallowing his spit which enabled him to start speaking again. By all accounts, my brother was in a fragile condition when he came to Randy. Randy didn’t treat him like he was fragile.
I’ve said it many times over the past year and I believe it still: The Pandemic will end when enough people are done. It will have nothing to do with Covid cases, hospitalizations, vaccines, treatments, spikes, waves, or variants. It’ll end when enough people say “enough.”
They do realize by demonizing “whiteness” they’re just going to create a strong white identity, yes?
They do realize by demonizing masculinity they’re going to make angrier, more violent men, right?
This is all part of the plan?
It sounds petty but I’m convinced that “physical attractiveness privilege” is one of the most determinant privileges in life, and always has been across cultures and eras, and always will be.
Which just shows how shallow and unwise we are as human beings.
Now make an honest defense for why people need to prove Covid vax status to enter a restaurant or gym, and not for diseases more likely to kill someone.
Why should kids mask for this disease when they never masked for flus that killed more kids?
It’s not about public health.
“Misleading information,” as the term is applied by Twitter, simply means information that will lead you to conclusions other than the narrative Twitter is helping to craft.
