Incredibly sorry we've had to do this, the transmissibility of omicron means it is important to patient safety to minimise the number of people in our hospitals for now. Will be kept under review and reversed ASAP. Note exceptional circumstance arrangements at the link below.

Unfortunately, due to the spread of the Omicron variant, we are temporarily stopping visiting in our hospitals.

1/2 In a time long long ago before COVID19 we ordered 1,800 new beds for our hospitals as part of a planned scheme to replace old beds. Cue the nightmare of new ones arriving but plans for chucking out the old ones stopped by COVID19.
