Police dog Reggie was determined to take his stick, or should that be tree 🤔 with him on his walk and has shown us that with a little determination anything is paw-sible 🐶
1/2 Sheffield:
Another day, another dangerous driver.
This vehicle had previously driven at officers, yesterday it decided to go the wrong way down a dual carriageway.
Officers bravely put themselves in harm's way to protect public & made contact with the vehicle.

Please all join us in wishing PC Brackpool & police dogs Flick & Duke a very happy & well deserved retirement!
He has been a dog handler on the OSU for a number of years now & has had some excellent results, helping the public & catching the bag guys! All the best Paul :)

Buy a bargain price Citroen on Facebook! But don’t bother to insure it....sad times. 😔
Vehicle gets seized = even sadder times. 😣
Your mum comes to pick you up, she’s also not insured so both cars end up getting seized = nightmare! 😫😤😩

It's time to fire up the Quattro!
One of a number of new Audi vehicles out & about across South Yorkshire from today.
Before anyone asks, they are obtained at a price significantly cheaper than what would be paid by members of the public & are very well suited to the role :-)

Today we're remembering PC Matt Lannie who died while on duty in 2020.
Matt was a much-loved colleague and friend, who loved being a police officer.
His loss was felt across the force and today we remember the ultimate sacrifice he paid for serving his communities 💙
At 11am, we stood outside to remember the key workers lost to Covid-19.
We continued the silence for a further minute in memory of PC Matt Lannie.
It's been a difficult week as we mourn the loss of Matt. Thank you to everyone who has sent us messages of support and love ♥️

M1 Junc 31, 29/04.
This excavator was stolen yesterday afternoon... however, the driver of the truck (on false plates) took the M1 SOUTH in an effort to get back to Leeds.
We were only too happy to give him some geography lessons on the way to custody... in Sheffield. 🗺🧐🚔
We also caught a glimpse of our new 5 series saloons today which are due to enter service shortly.
These will be replacing a number of our older 3 series models.
It’s got that new car smell too 😄❤️🚓

It’s a very satisfying feeling.
Most of us see these types of things off duty, so to be able to do something about it on duty is great!
It’s where having an unmarked car gives us a great advantage at times :)
Where do we start with this one stopped in Sheffield yesterday?
Overloaded. More than 25% on the rear axle, load issues, vehicle literally rotting away (see third pic), defective tyre & cracked windscreen.
Vehicle prohibited & seized, driver reported for multiple offences.
PD Louis has turned his paw to detaining two men early hours this morning (18/8) following reports of a burglary in progress in Sheffield
Unable to outrun, outwit or hide from PD Louis, a five year-old Belgium Malinois, two men in their 40s were arrested on suspicion of burglary
Folks, we carried out some tests on the M1 today and confirmed that lane 1 will NOT bite you.

Something to make you smile on this rather dull day!

Really poor driving conditions across the county this afternoon...
One driver just stopped on the M18 for excess speed, travelling at up to 90mph - after passing our marked car!
Please, especially in these conditions - slow down & drive safely.
PD Digby 2nd to last night shift before pension and handing over to PD Reggie (provided he makes the grade). Aggravated burglary in Barnsley, machetes, fled in a car, crashed and ran off. 90 minutes tracking/searching and two detained. Handler knackered and filthy.
