YES! Blaming individuals for homelessness amid record economic instability, evictions, food insecurity, etc leaves the systemic problems actually causing these issues intact. We need leaders like Lisa who aren’t afraid to tackle complex problems.
We need to stop blaming individuals. We need to also address that Denver is becoming increasingly unaffordable, rent is skyrocketing, and we need services to support folks before they become homeless

Amazon workers at DEN4 in Colorado say an elderly worker died on the job on 12/28 after returning from a medical leave and instead of shutting down the area, Amazon managers stacked boxes around the body until a coroner could arrive so they could keep workers working through it
