What are respiratory supercomplexes (SCs) doing? Our collaboration with @Holab_DukeNUS shows that an extra large SC forms between complex I and complex III in a mouse model of complex III deficiency. SC-XL rescues the respiratory defect. https://t.co/XvMRrDaBmx

Remember learning that #ribosomes are made of 1 large subunit RNA + 1 small subunit RNA? Well, some cells defy this rule, and the most extreme case is #Toxoplasma which makes its mitoribosome from >50 RNA pieces! Wanna know how? Read the next comments.
