Christian Benteke 🇧🇪 suggests Kevin De Bruyne 🇧🇪 could make a move to MLS, with the Belgian star being told he would thrive at one of the LA 🇺🇸 teams as his contract with Manchester City 🏴 nears its end.
What a time to be back, Inter Miami is a mess, no refs, all time low public opinion of the league execs, danger of no USOC...
But it's business as usual for MLS.. Welcome back!
Ismail Elfath is a referee that in
@MLS
will check VAR for a corner kick or foul in midfield. At the biggest stage he gave a PK to Portugal that wasn’t a penalty here or in Jupiter. The worst call of the tournament from the area MLS has never grown in… refereeing.
Criticizing MLS for making mistakes is a good thing. Wishing MLS ill and believing that without it fans will flock to div 2/semi pro teams when Sports fans have NBA, NFL, NHL, MLB & top tier soccer leagues to watch is not only laughable it proves the person's utter stupidity.
@stuholden
Am shocked you guys played professional soccer. Look at Messi in France, they zoned marked him. 4 players around Messi. Look at ATL, NO ONE. Messi's talent makes it all look easy. But dear lord there is a clear difference. Try again.
Why I think Busio deserves more A squad minutes for the NT.
Because he is a central midfielder that can score.
Weston has that capacity but Adams and Musah don’t. Am not saying he should start but he can be a very good option off the bench.

Do people below 25 understand that the woman is Paris Hilton? One of the wealthiest persons in the world? And “That’s hot” was her catch phrase that she/ herself copyrighted?

Contexto amigo.

Grant stated on his last podcast that he was feeling “under the weather” and that many journalists in Qatar had a sort of “cough”. Then again this is a part of the world notorious for killing journalists. This should be investigated.

There have been many great players from Concacaf. Hugo Sanchez, Magico Gonzalez, Kasey Keller, Tim Howard, Alphonso Davies, Christian Pulisic. I think you gotta rethink this tweet honestly.
66 players from
@MLS
will be playing for their national teams during the break. This would have been unheard of 10 years ago. 3 of them for World champion
@Argentina
1 of them is the best player in history.
@Ziggys_Duck
Stringer had to die. Can’t be so up top and play both sides of the fence. The moment Stringer went to Prop Joe behind Avon’s back, he was finished. Joe had the ultimate card on Stringer.
I ask the question, if Pulisic was Brazilian and had scored 2 goals in 4 games and was a star of his national team, you think he'd be bench because of rotation?
#USMNT
Milan is set to bench Christian Pulisic for their UCL match against Newcastle on Tuesday.
GDS reporting that Samu Chukwueze is likely going to make his first start since joining from Villarreal
We live in an age where
#USMNT
players and coaches give exclusive interviews to GQ and Vanity Fair but sites that make it their business to cover soccer in the 🇺🇸 don’t even get a reply via email by teams, players, or pundits…
@MLS_Buzz
My point exactly. While we can’t blame Sosa completely, yes he was blown away, then again million dollar players in LaLiga were blown away as well. But the tactical approach is so horrid. If there is even one.

You have to be joking to make that assessment. “Impossible” situation, Leeds HAVE A SQUAD, maybe not a Champions League squad but there is enough talent to at least be mid table. He hadn’t won since November, he failed to address key issues of the team, end of story.
FIFA has allowed MLS to do this for 30 years. There are also transfer fees that include players under contract in Europe… that is called a trade… It’s done in all American sports. What’s the big deal?
One of the many bizarre MLS rules is the trading of players from club to club without the player's consent. While accepted in American sports, it isn't allowed overseas. FIFA's own bylaws don't allow transfers without player consent.
#InterMiamiCF
Ending this once and for all:
#USMNT
doesn’t have the history and today has no player better than:
Luis Suárez
Ronald Araújo
José María Giménez
Manuel Ugarte
Federico Valverde
Darwin Núñez
Rodrigo Bentancur
In their respective positions.
@USMNTvsHaters
Zimmerman played a very good game the challenge happened because we were on the back peddle for so long, Walker did not want to take any chance and went in to get the ball. It was a close call. In the end Bale got the benefit of the doubt. It was a PK... But we have seen worse
The J League is going to align with the European calendar. It has been in their plans for some time.
No bang, no gimmicks, no invented titles, no Leagues Cups. Just pure soccer.
@ManagerTactical
That would mean that Argentine fed hid with MLS… He got injured against Ecuador. NT never reported a long term injury. They said “fatigued”
@cabezamartini
Ganando tapa bocas.
@ManagerTactical
No he’s not. I live in Uruguay and watch Argentine sports channels. Argentines are very HIGH on Almada. Messi went out of his way to praise him. Please Tac I know you are not the biggest MLS fan but at least understand what you are talking about.
@nwblackmon
At this point let’s allow the
@StateDept
to do it’s job. I also suspect foul play but let’s not confirm it is. Am sure steps will be taken so a American medical team can perform an autopsy.
@usmntonly
@CBSSportsGolazo
Dempsey is what we have always looked for in an American soccer star. A rough and tough background. It showed in his game. To me still the GOAT for the US. HANDS DOWN.
@johnspacemuller
One thing is to defend Gregg Berhalter from at times unrealistic criticism from a content seeking or unknowledgeable fanbase. Another to say the team made “real” progress. The
#USMNT
got back on track, but progress? Very debatable.
A reminder that MLS is not competing in the US Open Cup because of “schedule congestion”... As we can see, booking games for the only reason of profit is all that matters in MLS.
At this point I have serious questions if he should even be on the
#USMNT
. What message does that send to those who are actually getting real minutes? We talk about nepotism, well rewarding bad seasons is also not healthy. The U.S. has been able to win without Reyna.
Earnie Stewart only a year ago was an “idiot” a “moron” a “puppet of US Soccer”. Today he is a genius… by the same people who criticized him for hiring GB or overseeing the entire
#USMNT
program…
It’s better to be silent…
It's been 9 months since Earnie Stewart left U.S. Soccer and became PSV's technical director. Since then, PSV has:
-- Turned over half the starting lineup
-- Made a perfect 13-0-0 start to the Eredivisie season (48 goals scored; 5 conceded)
-- Survived the Champions League group
@MartinCharquero
@DiarioOle
We are so clearly more talented (and younger) than anyone else in our region by a mile.
If Gregg can stop trying to play Genius and just put our best players on the field, a semi-final run at Copa America next summer is the floor for what we can do next.

Tim Weah’s numbers at Lille are jaded because they moved him so far back. At PSG and Celtic he had good numbers. Weah has yet to play to his full potential. When played up top like Wales we saw he can do damage. The problem for Weah is no one plays him up top.
We may have issues

New podcast out for the Tactical Yanks Podcast!!
This week alongside

we brought a special guest…
@MLS_Buzz
We discussed The Sounders and the club World Cup and of course the Wrexham vs MLS fake rivalry!

River Plate has NT 🇦🇷🇺🇾🇨🇴 caliber players on their roster and played against the US D team in a scrimmage that was divided in 2. But try to explain that to this idiot…
@TyCSports
@ManagerTactical
Did you see what Rayados is paying for Vasquez? A lot of money dude. For a decent striker, at best.
Miles, yes disappointing, but he’s a roster player and hopefully gets back on track.
Kill the drama. Both are gonna get $.
@timmahu
You can tell he was talking to a fan and surrounded by fans. I think it takes a lot of guts to hop on mass transit and show your face after getting relegated.
While it’s still too early to say that the partnership between Apple TV and Major League Soccer is a resounding success, early indicators are suggesting things are off to a great start.

@MLS_Buzz
Am a pro MLS guy. Look at the D shape of Lille vs ATL UTD. Messi is Messi, but the defensive work is so poor. That is not on ATL UTD players. Who are actually very talented. It's on POOR coaching. Poor defensive work. A major problem in MLS since it's first game ever.
@MLS_Buzz
I think a semi final at Copa America would be great but depending on who we beat to get there. Really making the semifinals without a major win over Uruguay, Brazil, Ecuador, or Argentina proves nothing.
@usmntonly
Pardon my ignorance but why can’t Indy Eleven, who has some name value and a planned stadium not just piggy back on those richer owners and be grandfathered into MLS like the Sounders or Portland? Seems much cleaner to do it that way.
@mozkid8
clearly you have 0 notion how this game is played. Musah is a box to box hard working midfielder, his goal is to aid in creating goals or stopping them, not scoring them...
@RaeComm
Ridiculous rating. Reyna was mobile and involved. Not a super star performance, but given he hadn’t played in 3 games it was a solid performance.
@ManagerTactical
Think it was his best game. Knew how to open space, quick passing, and almost a goal. Roma provided a better test but he was up for it. Wish Poli would try him down the middle or on the left at least 1 game. Still think he is getting used to the right.
