Pt yesterday slammed w exorbitant ambulance bill ($1300/0.5 mile) -such "surprise bills" seem not uncommon. Taking advantage of pts at most vulnerable moment w 0 capacity/time to make informed decision seems most cruel. Any strategies/tips to prevent this? https://t.co/fErtb9eqvK
