@braphumanrights Consensus @JWmusesthis #Darzi despite mortality & disparity during #Covid19 around #Race & #Disability can’t be just about this. But PLAN must explicitly ack & address 43% of workforce doesn’t think #NHS fair or equitable @libdemdaisy @KimJohnsonMP @rogerkline @WindrushLives

I’m with you Luke . Conflicted but want to take a stand
@JWmusesthis Genuinely torn, I get so much information from others via this platform. Particularly around antiracism / EDI. I guess there is linkedin? @parthaskar had some very interesting thoughts on the matter as did @eveosh. Will decide before Friday... Musks behaviour is horrific

When the dust from the recent upheaval settles will we settle for the same old, ineffective approaches? Or is it time to confront uncomfortable truths about race? In our latest blog we look at: 👉whether 'myth busting' works 👉getting better at race talk https://t.co/yrTdb67IZr
brap.org.uk
Between 1980 and 2024, the UK has seen race riots once every six years. After each set of upheavals, the country has engaged in soul-searching. Reports have been written, commissions established,...

Great to have your participation and support . Like many - we are so fed up with the repetitive nature of racist experiences .
‘Going Nowhere Fast’ Looking forward to collaborating with @ShermaraFletche @braphumanrights @JWmusesthis in sharing @windrush stories and community conversions: long term patterns of racial inequality in Birmingham & hearing how to build a more equitable society. @jessphillips

Now, that is a VERY GOOD response to the NMC report. I hope the @nmcnews Council is listening
Please see our initial preliminary response to the findings and failings identified in the The NMC Independent Culture Review’ by @nazirafzal & RISE associates @nmcnews @ViniceThomas @Giftymarkey1 @wendyolayiwola @jenniferjeanjac @felicia_kwaku @AcosiaNyanin @CNOEngland

@justin_garson @OxPsychiatry @DrJenWild If your employer refuses to help you understand the complexities of PTSD, survivors guilt & how to generally be a thoughtful empathetic human being maybe this @bbcworldservice PTSD podcast with @DrJenWild & @WesselyS might help you.
After the #PTSD treatment, things improved with in me. I had hope for the future despite things in my life being a mess. I could finally see a path forward. I participated in the BBC The Why Factor PTSD podcast with @DrJenWild and @WesselyS

Just ploughing through it … has echoes of Too Hot to Handle !
Everything I hear about this NMC report makes it sounds like the worst possible example from Too Hot To Handle. I really hope that's not true but i fear the NMC response will confirm it is. @JWmusesthis

An open letter to our new Health Secretary, @wesstreeting. We need an NHS free from racism. ➡️ensure concerns are acted on early ➡️set standards of behaviour to challenge ‘everyday’ racism ➡️zero tolerance for those who victimise whistleblowers https://t.co/ia4NLhJrSg

It’s always those on the receiving end of racism that bear the consequences - wouldn’t it be great if there was accountability for those who dished it out !
Remember this @nmcnews Richards Hastings applied for over 2,000 jobs and went to numerous interviews after his case. Other than a fixed-term contract in another NHS role from February to November 2016, he was unemployed for long periods. You need to rethink your CEO decision

Four years on . I’m still determined to make progress and not to align with those who seek their own comfort over racial justice
