WOW. Households and business will be aghast to see that tax take will go to an all time high by 2030/31. Liberal Democrats are clear: the UK can’t tax its way to prosperity, we must grow our way to prosperity with a better deal with Europe.

Our farmers are key to fighting the climate crisis, safeguarding our food security, and boosting growth as a vital British industry. But since the last Autumn Budget, they’ve been hammered by the government’s flawed family farm tax. Lib Dems are clear: it must be scrapped.

Increasing the minimum wage is always welcome news for millions of low-paid workers but unless businesses are able to grow, there is a danger that this will result in fewer jobs being available overall. The Budget must go for growth 👇
