Wonderful meeting you, @Dr_ASingh ! It was fascinating to learn about your recent work on human immune organoids to decode B cell responses in healthy donors and patients with lymphoma. Truly inspiring research!
When you’re @ famous tea 🫖 ☕️ point in #India & run into amazing scientists @Irtisha_Singh & @AKGaharwar! The two cowrote “News & Views” on our ‘23 @NatureMaterials article! Irtisha’s work on transcriptional regulation/epigenetics & Akhilesh’s in-situ tissue regen. is inspiring!

Really enjoyed a thorough dissection of factors influencing APA using Perturb-seq presented by @satijalab! This research highlights the key proteins that regulate tandem 3'UTR APA and IPA. A key revelation of this study is that an independent set of factors influence APA and IPA.

If a reporter is driven by a promoter of a single-UTR gene, addition of an enhancer increases transcript production. If the reporter is driven by a multi-UTR gene promoter, the enhancer does not affect transcript production, but instead increases poly(A) site cleavage activity.
