Why would a terrorist movement "for the destruction of Israel" invade less territory, and murder fewer Jews, than they could have, just so that they can rape and torture them and torment their relatives? Because it's a movement to legitimise *hurting* Jews, and it is succeeding.
Not just hunting. it's Jew-*hurting* season. They didn't just collect trophies. They paused in their murder in order to rape, torture and enact the most depraved sadism, contacting the victims' loved ones to make them watch. Not a hunt. It was a pogrom, and it's still under way.
