We have twin—trade and federal budget—deficits, and we need to turn both into surpluses fast. For far too long, presidents have not done anything effective. The tariffs help with both deficits.
Observations on Trump's tariffs:.1. They are completely unjustified. The US balance of payments problem is an excessive US budget deficit. 2. They are completely arbitrary, entirely dependent on Trump's emotions. 3. They are high & will damage the global economy but most the US.

The world should be “appalled,” if I may use Beijing’s word, that China is supplying Palestinian terrorists with weapons.
China is appalled by the U.S. decision to sanction Palestinian Authority officials and members of the Palestine Liberation Organization. We find it disappointing and hard to understand that the U.S. keeps turning a blind eye to the international effort for peace.

China is attempting to break apart the Philippines. As shown below, Beijing is using force to do so and boasting about its aggressive actions. If war starts in East Asia, the most likely flashpoint is somewhere in the South China Sea at a Philippine rock, reef, or shoal.
