What a wonderful Gaelic night we’ve had! Sold out at @KomediaBrighton, @emilybarkerhalo opened with her mesmerising songcraft, and @kingcreosote & band stunned visuals with a phenomenal atmosphere and sincerity in his music. He’s also very funny What a special night tonight! 🌟

Trying to get a bull back to Skye - 3 weeks Saturday is the first day I can book a pickup & trailer onto the Tarbert-Uig ferry. Not easy to live your life when you can’t carry out simple transactions without a month’s notice.

Ten cars in the “unbooked” queue, except can guarantee they all have bookings for later sailings. An extra kick from @calmacferries “lifeline” service to doubley make sure that locals can’t get on the ferry.

Been waiting several months to have heat pump installed due to there being very few heating engineers in Argyll. Booked months ago & now @CalMacFerries have cancelled his booking on Monday morning. Literally every part of this house build has been a nightmare because of Calmac.

South of England swans in with a “solution” to keep Scottish islands a playground at a cost of millions £s (and an entire culture) 🤣 You couldn’t make it up.
Build more houses. Tiree could build many hundreds of seasonal use only beach houses and save year round accommodation for full time residents only. Just build. No shortage of land.

“We’ve been coming here 40 years” said the couple who put a massive static caravan in front of our cabin this week. When I said “we live here, Sorren born here & this is our business” she replied “that’s irrelevant”… Well you can imagine how well that went down with me! 🤣 🤬
