So i got some bad news today and need to offload some consoles to help out a family member. If anyone is interested in anything let me know. I’ll add more in-depth details soon.
NESRGB +
@RgRDev
Shell +
@collingall
and
@Voultar
QSB/Multiout. Has a nice blue LED. I'm still figuring out how to take good pictures (and get the dust to go away) But I think it turned out pretty well! My first ever NES mod that wasn't fixing someone else's bad soldering.
Last SNES of the batch. Looks great via the
@retrotink2
retrotink 4k! Especially since it’s a 2-chip. Once these bad boys get the
@Voultar
treatment, they’ll be perfect!
Finished another
@voultar
SNESRGB mod on a Snes Mini/Jr I picked up at a flea market for $40. 100% worth. Captured a screenshot from the mod upscaled via the
@retrotink2
4K through my capture card.
Sorry about the livestream everyone. My Desoldering gun tip decided it was done with life. Got another one coming tomorrow, but in the mean time, I test fitted the shell from
@RgRDev
and it looks so clean, especially with the new blue power led.
I wanted to say thank you again to everyone who bought something. I was able to help out my family member and he’ll be able to keep his house without worrying after his accident. It means a great deal to me.
Reshelled Clear Black PSOne - $150
Sega Nomad with battery pack - $400
Super Famicom (Fully Refurbed with adapter for SFC and SNES games) - $140
PS2 Midnight Blue (With board swap so it plays US Games, includes HDD adapter) - $200
Ps2 Slim - $120
Ps2 Slim with 1440p HDMI out mod…
Some goodies showed up today,
@Yoei_RetroCOOL
ps1 shell, 2XStations and some
@collingall
stations as mounts. 2 more shells should be here Monday. I’ll either do the live stream or a YT video on the installs then!
@savetheCRTs_
I'm the person who has these CRTs, wanted to give some background and additional info.
Both have component in
Both have been fully recapped/recalibrated for color and geometry.
The VCR and DVD both work on the 27in, and have been properly greased, and the lens calibrated.
@Voultar
As a cyber security professional, it is honestly just another IOT device that gives one more attack vector into your network. I'm 100% not a fan. I set up a vlan for those kinds of devices just to segregate them from everything else, but not everyone has the time to do that.
@Voultar
So it’s not really soldering, but board design in cad software that gets me. I’d watch THE FUCK outta someone giving a good rundown on that and good board design.
Ok I’ve stockpiled 11 SNESs/SFCs, fully recapped, cleaned, new shells, every pin and Switch deoxit’d. it’s finally time to go live with the site. Will have 5 PS1s ready to go as well shortly after, same deal, 2 will have x-stations, the others will be stock as they’re not…
@Voultar
100% this. It's the whole reason I learned how to repair CRTs. I miss that aesthetic with newer gaming. The RT4K does such an amazing job getting that look back too. I'm even considering selling some of my CRTs.
Horrible picture. But some more rescued SFCs/SNESs. Almost all of them needed a chip swap. Bad cpus or one of the PPUs. And even a bad wram. Next time I’m not doing parts consoles lmao.
I wanted to say a big thank you to everyone who shouted me out, and reposted. Especially
@_atrac17
@Voultar
@HDRetrovision
@MARSFPGA
@_BELM0NT_
and all of the other people that I'm running out of room to add. I appreciate all of your kindness and generosity with your time. <3
@Voultar
I agree. I won't buy digital games usually. If it's the only option, I'll find ways around it, or I won't play. I damn sure won't pay for something I don't own.
Ps1
#2
is well on its way. This thing was just buried in sand and dirt. One of the nastiest I’d seen in a long time. But I’ve got it shining now. Back to the recap work!
Sega Naomi through the
@retrotink2
Retrotink 4K just looks stunning. Now it’s time to consolize it. And I don’t mean just shove it in a briefcase or pc case. Fully custom, with custom boards for I/O.
@retrotink2
I 100% agree this is the right solution. It’s consumer friendly and shows you care about your customers. Kudos to you Mike. There’s a reason you earn my business with every single product you release.
Finally got everything together to do the
@BucketMouseBite
poco board. Already pulled all the parts from my broken donor, but man this is a lot of no joke soldering lol. I’m excited, it’s a wonderful product and a good challenge.

@BlueShell3D
@FenrisRetro
@RgRDev
I think that’s what debris meant. Half the price or less is a big selling point, but I do hate putting the Ali shells together lol. RFRs are a butter smooth process, and they’re meant to last. Dudes a damn artist with injection molding.
@Voultar
It's the cell processor and it's horrible handling of networking and other peripherals. If you have "media server connection" turned on, disabling it does tend to boost speeds pretty well. I need to run a pcap on my ps3 some day and see what weird crap it does.
@DragonsHoardMod
I love those RGR cases. Been wanting to do a Gen with those shells for a long time. Probably go Gen 2 though as I think it looks the coolest lol.
@SmokeMonsterTWI
@jeffqchen
Used to do a lot of custom vape mods when I vaped. 18650s are no joke, but you can do some neat stuff if you get enough of them hooked up to something.
@Voultar
You’ll get there man. It’s hard recognizing something about yourself that you want to change. I wish I could give you some answer or bit of wisdom, but I think we all go through something like that and there really isn’t any specific answer. If that makes any sense at all.
@Voultar
Honestly you're doing great man. There are always going to be assholes out there, users and abusers, and a lot of people don't know any better than to fall in to these traps, especially with something technical like these mods. I can only speak for myself, but I appreciate what…
Got some stuff coming in over the next week! And I’m going to livestream the cleaning, refurbishing and modding process. I’ll announce here when I’ll be able to go live. We’re looking at the following consoles:
3 x Neo Geo MVS with unknown issues
4 x PS1s
@Voultar
I'm sad I had to let go of my 2-chip SFC, but god knows when I get my hands on another one in the future, I'm going STRAIGHT to your store for one.
