Dusted off the old controller latency setup to test the new 8bitDo 64 Bluetooth controller. Pretty nice build quality. Typical Bluetooth latency (14.9 ms average).

I love both controllers, but it’s clear that some Sega users never actually played the N64. I can’t think of a single N64 game that used both grips. Most only had a single valid grip. Both are underrated controllers. If only Saturn had more analog compatible games.
Why? Saturn's 3D pad is superior to N64. 1. All buttons are accessible without having to change your grip. 2. Superior analog that doesn't wear down over time. 3. Superior d-pad. 4. Face buttons that are actually nice, unlike the tiny c-buttons on N64. 5. Actual analog triggers.
