REFLEX CTRL SNES drop in replacement boards are in production! Sweet 0.83ms latency with the comforts of original Nintendo buttons and shell. I’ve been unhappy with replacement membrane options so I might make my own. The SNES controller deserves the best treatment!

Saturn core now plays 95.5% of the USA library! I tested more than 100 games on single SDRAM and nearly all are playable with only minor issues. There's almost no difference between single and dual SDRAM.

Repaired and recapped my first Game Gear and came away with 2 observations:
1) the fishy smell of the capacitors is real. My family came near my workspace and all asked “what’s that smell???”
2) the screen is so bad that I wish I’d left it broken.

Popular to hate on N64 in 2021. Such a bad system that gave us the first 3D Mario, Zelda, and Mario Kart, popular console first person shooters, which are a vital part of the speedrunning community. But yeah, not many 2D games. None of my friends ragged on the graphics in 96. 🤷
dogshit console with a built in blur(snow) filter you can't turn off, world's noisiest 3.3v line, every game is a weird ass resolution, memory card only big enough to hold a notepad file with mom's spaghetti recipe on it, shit controllers, no RGB
