There are many double standards in politics that favor Democrats, but the biggest double standard in all of politics is the derision with which Republicans can talk about the other party's voters with limited political backlash.
Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) says there’s a “real risk” Biden forgiving some student loan debt will help Democrats in the 2022 midterms: “If you are that slacker barista who wasted seven years in college … if you can get off the bong for a minute … it could drive up turnout.”

@SopanDeb @TylerDinucci @tonyheyl Two things were true. 1) the legal reasoning of Dobbs does truly put Obergefell in peril, despite Kavanaugh and Alito claiming otherwise. 2) This Court was never going to take up this case, much less overturn Obergefell.

Stephon Castle, not a point guard at UConn, is now one the most prolific assist guys in the NBA. He just turned 21.

Great reporting here on what Heritage and the conservative movement have become. Anyone on the right who doesn’t acknowledge a full-blown ideological transformation is in denial or lying.
“Employees working on Ukraine policy were asked to watch Carlson’s monologues, which were rife with conspiracy theories about the war, to delete past tweets in support of Ukraine aid and to write papers reflecting the new, more isolationist policy”

DOGE is probably the single biggest federal policy failure of all time, no? federal spending is higher than ever, the debt is increasing even faster, and the only material outcome is millions of people dying for literally no reason

In 2019 as Executive Vice President of the Heritage Foundation I warned about the dangers of replacing conservatism with nationalism. I see where some who did that are now aghast at what is happening on the right. As Feulner used to say, “ideas have consequences.”

Do these people think Dems cheated in 2020 and 2025 but just simply chose not to cheat in 2021 and 2024?

I’ve had a few questions about UConn tonight. (Sorry, I was out and about, and didn’t catch much action.) But yes, UConn set the record tonight for the fastest #AnalyticallyFinal vs. a D-1 opponent since I began tracking the metric in 2014. The Huskies crossed that threshold at

My CT town has been shockingly YIMBY. Two new apartment buildings just opened, a third (extremely large) apartment building nearing completion and two high end condo complexes to come.
Basically all the meaningful progress on housing supply has been bipartisan, but in CT, NY, NJ, and MD we have accomplished very little and it’s Republicans who’ve been intransigent. https://t.co/Mt3eetLKyQ

MTG taking the train. Per source familiar @RepMTG had such a flight delay she is taking an overnight train to her destination instead.

Elected Republicans keep saying this but it’s not at all clear that nationwide voter ID or banning mail voting would help Republicans given how much their coalition relies on less engaged/frequent voters now. It might have been more plausible in 2015 but not 2025!
Marhsall: If we ended the filibuster, we could end mail-in ballots are require voting I.D. We may never lose majority again if we do even just that alone. So, every day I'm more serious about it. I'm not going to commit on national TV to doing it. But certainly every day I'm

Lina Khan going from the Biden administration, to Mamdani's transition team, to Trump's administration would truly be chef's kiss.
