The other thing is the drone's RCS. This would give more constraint especially if they're flying low, and slow like a bird and there are many birds down there one needs to pick out. Like smol commercial drone can reach Sub 1 sqm already

Have you consider their coverage ? Radar coverage is NOT a perfect circle, nor equal for all altitude. Notice the coverage is NOT the same for all altitudes.

The other question is "how did those smol drones can fly so far" ? Well :
1.They're relatively light
2.They have high L/D ratio
3.They use piston engine which kind of efficient with SFC of 0.5 kg/kg-hp/hr.
Notice that these small drones can have endurance of over half to 1 day.

This is an RBE-2AA for Rafale. I noticed that there are people arguing whether this radar have 838 TRM's as the photo shows or 1000 TRM's as claimed said by Thales.
I even see people alleges that the displayed RBE-2AA was mockups which hides the true module counts.

Some might suggest to use the JEM or Jet Engine Modulation and if your drone using propeller just change that J to P, problem is you have to detect the propeller first which can have lower RCS than the drone.

Well, How F-35A Frontal aspect Radar Cross Section could look in 3D.
8 GHz. I would say Beautiful. The median for the RCS value is small 0.02 sqm. About 9 dB less than my Su-57 model with "Open" IRST (0.17 sqm). With IRST closed however the diff is only 4 db (0.06 sqm)

So Russians decided to do all GBU-39, Powered JDAM and GLSDB at the same time. There are conflicting informations tho but designation of "UMDB-D-30SH". is known.
Said to be rocket or jet engine powered. Also deployable from Smerch. Diameter is 300 mm.

Similar trends are observed with other lifting body missiles like AGM-158 JASSM and Japanese Type-12 Concept. These missiles offers Superior RCS in high frequencies. JASSM however are unique as it can maintain relatively Low RCS in both Low and high frequences.

So i have 3 MiG-29's.
-One is Standard modernized MiG
-Two is Same but with limited treatment, RAM in inlet and IRST housing, bandpass radome but no RAM paint on surface.
-Three is extreme treatment where you put RAM on the surface of the aircraft.
All of them are armed.

Does canard increase RCS of J-20 ? Yes in relative to the one without Canard.
How much does canard contributes to J-20 model's RCS ? Not much at least for high frequency. There is however noticeable differences in Low frequency bands.
