I like Radar,3D modelings and basically beautiful female chara.
-May often post Japanese anime related things inc Hentai-
-Commission is open for 3D modeling-
Hmm MVDC 2022. are still in delay, sadly. Nonetheless i think imma repost my Commission card XD.
Afterall i need to support myself first.
and i'm always open.
I really wish more people use the Radar coverage tool courtesy of
@CambridgePixel
As i got a feeling people think Air defense and Radar coverage is a perfect circle which simply not true. Here is an example of real world coverage of a Pantsyr guarding Moscow
Bayraktar TB-2 Radar Cross Section Estimates. Frontal section.
Looks clever where the spikes of High RCS are aimed upward. Thus indicates optimization against ground radar threat.

Well. So i joined PINDAD MVDC-2022 Contest. It's a Military Vehicle design competition held by PT PINDAD. Our Army's big Contractor. This year's Theme is Hybrid Electric.
Let me Introduce you to "Larissa" a Hybrid Electric Fighting Vehicle.
So Russians using something like Shahed-136, which confirmed few days ago. There might be some other types of drones from Iran but might look it later or maybe if i can have a proper commission for them.
But right now Shaheed or Geran-2 comes first.

Ini akun gede tapi membodohkan masyarakat.
Gampangannya gini. Rafale itu BUATAN PRANCIS.. kalau Prancis beli dari Dassault dapatnya HARGA SUPPLIER.
Sampai sini paham ?
@ArmchairW
"Source on F-35 RCS modeling: "
Wow, congrats on finding my client's website. I am the one doing the simulation work there X3.
I also do Storm Shadow. Although bit old.
I have two aircraft models.. One is Rafale in "BVR murder machine" mode with wing full of Meteors. The other is a J-20 which our South China Sea neighbor have. Which obviously tempting for me to start making something out of those two.
Video from Russian MoD briefing, showing a Buk M3 TELAR controlling Transloader launcher of Buk-M2/M1-2.
I feel this is interesting and it's the first time at least for me to see such operation being filmed.
The colors indicate the target altitude. the legend is in lower right corner of the screen. The green color shows coverage of a target moving at altitude of 30 meters. Not a perfect circle right ?
The other thing is the drone's RCS. This would give more constraint especially if they're flying low, and slow like a bird and there are many birds down there one needs to pick out. Like smol commercial drone can reach Sub 1 sqm already
Some Pantsyr "Family Tree" Not really chronological but it shows the evolution of the radar package over its life.
Arguably tho i would say Pantsyr is the most evolved SPAAG in the world now. and evolution still take place as current war goes.
Guess it's time for follow up Post. The following is some estimates i made for Baykar Defense's MIUS UCAV. RCS in several frequencies.

Old Soviet/Russian documents have some form of "Aesthetics" in it. This one describes engagement envelope for the S-200D the final variant of S-200 series (Sa-5 Gammon). This one against typical Soviet test target.
@vodk_anon
That's kinda sign of tight deadline and underpaid artists so they slapped whatever they could to look representative.
3D animation takes a while to render and even longer when the artist was doing it solo using his own PC.
So yeah, Download your FREE Copy or if you have 500 GBP to spare, the professional version and start get enlightened and dump those perfect circle coverage.
The other question is "how did those smol drones can fly so far" ? Well :
1.They're relatively light
2.They have high L/D ratio
3.They use piston engine which kind of efficient with SFC of 0.5 kg/kg-hp/hr.
Notice that these small drones can have endurance of over half to 1 day.
For Science. Since i already did some Rafale RCS estimates with some weapons, why not add some more ? This time with 2x Scalp-EG. God help if TNI-AU actually interested in this.
One Iranian ingenuity that catch my attention. The Fateh-110 Ballistic missile. It looks simple, practical and appears to be good enough Tactical ballistic missile.
This is an RBE-2AA for Rafale. I noticed that there are people arguing whether this radar have 838 TRM's as the photo shows or 1000 TRM's as claimed said by Thales.
I even see people alleges that the displayed RBE-2AA was mockups which hides the true module counts.
From Shoigu's visit to NAPO at Novosibirsk. a rare view of Su-34's phased array attack radar. The V-004 "Khisnik"
Unlike other Sukhoi family tho, this radar was developed by Leninetz.
You can find anything as long as you tried hard enough.
you want to find working bustle blow out panel, yes there is
You want to find the one that ejecting its turret, sure thing you can find. that too.
Follow-up. Hopefully it;s visible.
Behavior of TB-2 model RCS in several frequencies.
Numerical values of Median RCS is also available.
In case the resolution is not enough, use :
Some might suggest to use the JEM or Jet Engine Modulation and if your drone using propeller just change that J to P, problem is you have to detect the propeller first which can have lower RCS than the drone.
Well, How F-35A Frontal aspect Radar Cross Section could look in 3D.
8 GHz. I would say Beautiful. The median for the RCS value is small 0.02 sqm. About 9 dB less than my Su-57 model with "Open" IRST (0.17 sqm). With IRST closed however the diff is only 4 db (0.06 sqm)
Su-57 materials by weight.
22-26 % Composite
40-44% Aluminum alloy
18.6% Titanium alloy
The black and red is i wonder, does black means "rubber" ? as it seems a color code.
The composite panel covers wide area of the airframe.
@jokowi
Setuju Pakde.
Strolling on Google Earth and found something nice. The image is dated at December 2022. depicting Chinese GJ-11 UCAV airframe undergoing RCS measurement in Gaobeidian facility, Hebei Province.
Whenever i see this. I always wonder, why one of the Earth's most sanctioned country can come up with this. and it flies.
While a G20 member, "Older brother of SEA". Can't even properly license Chinese missile or French missile it operated for so long.
@RandomWorldWar
Soviet/Russian fighter Radar from 1945 to some 1990-early 2000's. From old Phazotron magazine.
It only covers NIIP Phazotron's or Co-developed with Phazotron.
Well, some historical account. I am sure everyone that like stealth aircraft already know about "Hopeless Diamond"
I guess imma making one too for "Historical archive" This shape is perhaps the "Ideal" stealth shape. Not a practical flying machine tho.
I would say MIUS would have considerable potential, especially that it is said to be naval based. No other nations to my knowledge do a naval UCAV except US.
@CImtgr
Akun tolol.
Terus korelasinya makan Babi dengan pintar apa ? Terus Indonesia ini lho apa ada UU melarang Babi ?
Lha wong peternakan Babi buat konsumsi ada kok
@tilehopper
Jangankan yang Gen Z. Ane yang Millenial aja kesulitan kok hahaha.
Tapi ya memang tidak semua manusia dikarunai kemampuan untuk berempati sama manusia lainnya.
Remember "Larissa" ? Which i entered to PINDAD's Military Vehicle Design Competition (MVDC).
She's successfully selected as 8th Finalist in Professional Category.
However the competition is not over yet.
a 1967 letter from our Air Force Cmdr in Chief Roesmin Nurjadin to a receipient in Japan.
UFO phenomenon also happens here and our Airforce do open fire on them.
The following is the 2D contour plot presentation for both subjects. 2D contour plot is basically same as the "porcupine" like 3D presentation i do except flattened into diagram and be given clearer angle.
@GerryS
Korea itu strict karena ya menghormati teknologi dan asistensi AS lewat Lockheed.
Ini yang sayangnya belum dipahami di Indonesia.. tapi pengen TOT molo hahahaha.
Russian have SEAD issue.. well yeah. Like what other nation facing another nation possessing SAM's with Phased array engagement radar, with Notably -Low- Sidelobe.
I wonder if people actually know what features 5N63 radar S-300P/PT have.
The differences are more noticeable in lower frequencies (VHF to say S-band) and become less so in higher band. The following is from S-band. The strongest reflection from the canard is about the same location as wing reflection.
The "Hard" limit of emitted power of AESA radar. The cooling capacity.
this equation is taken from K.Barton's "Radar System Analysis and Modelling" 2005 Edition. Page 165.
I have been ill and well still looking for a proper job for some time now, despite grim prospect here. But at least a bit of tweet would be fine.
here, have a family tree of S-300P engagement radar family.
Indian Uttam Mk2 radar for Tejas. The provided information regarding the antenna dimensions and model counts are i would say, very generous.
This actually allows operating frequency to be estimated. With relatively good confidence.
The comparison is as usual from VHF down to X-band. The immediately noticeable thing is the canard doesnt seem to add much or at least not as "scary" as what people may assume.
a counter-drone system concept by a Russian company.
It has jammers, revolving gun which looks like a GsHG 7.62 (yes Russian mini gun exist) and interceptors which basically another drone, kinda like Coyote.
Those who understand how defense trade run will say it's ridiculous to accuse Indonesia sold aircraft to Myanmar. All Indonesian made aircraft are adopted US made engine. Indonesia can't and won't sell any aircraft if US reject to issue export license either for TPE331 or CT7-9C.
People should talk about this more tbh. as cooling is one fundamental limit for AESA radar performance.
You can all talk about GaN TRM, LPI, etc but law of thermodynamics remains above all.
So Russians decided to do all GBU-39, Powered JDAM and GLSDB at the same time. There are conflicting informations tho but designation of "UMDB-D-30SH". is known.
Said to be rocket or jet engine powered. Also deployable from Smerch. Diameter is 300 mm.
Well seems i have collected enough models to start comparisons. The following are one result of such.
Kalibr, TB-2, Skyeye/Mugin, Shahed-136/Geran-2 and F-16 Fighter aircraft.
Radome are transparent to radiowave and rightfully so as it also needs to transmit RF from say Radar. In this MiG-29 model, Lies N019 Radar. due to its transparency it may also yield concern over RCS when the radar being illuminated by the enemy.
Another S-200 "technical pic" This time depicts the envelope for S-200D/VM and Trajectory. As seen the 5V28 missile flies almost ballistically to achieve her maximum range.
Numerical wise also tell similar story. The canard contributions however is more apparent in low frequencies as depicted which is VHF band down to S (2 GHz) Higher frequencies where fighter radar or SAM engagement radars usually work, the Median RCS is practically identical.
A simple comparison, between both model is done. They're mostly PEC and having same treatment. The purpose is to see what kind of RCS "reduction" coming from removing the canard.
Similar trends are observed with other lifting body missiles like AGM-158 JASSM and Japanese Type-12 Concept. These missiles offers Superior RCS in high frequencies. JASSM however are unique as it can maintain relatively Low RCS in both Low and high frequences.
So i have 3 MiG-29's.
-One is Standard modernized MiG
-Two is Same but with limited treatment, RAM in inlet and IRST housing, bandpass radome but no RAM paint on surface.
-Three is extreme treatment where you put RAM on the surface of the aircraft.
All of them are armed.
Some KF-21 AESA materials, and yes from Sheldon. Thanks to him for collecting these. Too bad that Naver doesnt make it easy to search or reference, and i didnt kept bookmark. The current KF-21 AESA have about 1088 TRM's.
We're all know famous SPY-1 Radar. a Hexagonal all staring eyes. But have you people ever wondered what's look like inside that protective radome ?
found this OwO. Said to be SPY-1D.
Have fun counting the radiation elements XD
Source:
I posted this elsewhere already. but guess it's fine to bring it here ? It's about Ass. yeah Ass.. Aircraft Ass. Particularly Stealth fighter's Ass.
Do you guys know that F-22 and F-35 have "special" afterburner section which acts as Radar blocker ?
One thing is not like the other thing.
well for in-band threat, stealth aircraft will have radome structural treatment and antenna tilting to deflect the large lobes away from the flight line.
@strike_bravo_b
Lha wong sama-sama di Asia tenggara, ya sama-sama kena El Nino, beras disono ya naik harganya.. tapi mereka bisa surplus dan EKSPOR..
Disini negara G-20, mau gabung OECD, ngaku negara Agraris.. malah tekor.
Tanya kenapa :v
Well it's 4.06 AM here. Seems i forgot to sleep. But hey at least i can have my estimates on MIUS at S-band.
-360 degrees horizontal. 65-110 degrees vertical.
-S-band (3 GHz)
-Inlet and exhaust is not considered
-PEC (no RAM) assumed
Russian 9B1103M-350. This is an active seeker designed for long range AAM (R-172 and R-37). One thing i like is, it's big enough to have its own Guard channel for ECCM.
I'm kinda feel bit ill, mainly sore throat but then at least something is done. The following depicts Rafale model Frontal aspect RCS with Exocet... Interacting with 12 frequencies from VHF band to X-band.
In addition it can be launched en-masse which could outnumber the 6 target channels available for S-300PT/PS. Or be set to fly slower than 125 km minimum detectable speed limit of the S-300PT/PS family.
My conclusion ?
Does canard increase RCS of J-20 ? Yes in relative to the one without Canard.
How much does canard contributes to J-20 model's RCS ? Not much at least for high frequency. There is however noticeable differences in Low frequency bands.
The modeling is done in 35 Frequencies, covering VHF down to 34 GHz. Should be representative for wide range of air defense radars and missiles. The following depicts the interaction of the missile with the frequencies. In 3D form
Okay so i guess situation has calmed a bit. All headcannons and wild runners are gone.
Enjoy the image of AN/APG63V3 or APG-82 Antenna. What's the difference between V3 and 82 tho ? Well V3 has legacy APG-63 back end, while 82 has APG-79 backend.
@RadarFennec
From that orange to red color. It about in 590-625 Micron wavelength range, and temperature would be 4636 K or about 4300 degrees C. The speed based on stagnation temperature estimate is about M 8.7.
