11. If you have brought lots of earloop masks and can't afford to buy proper headstrap respirators, you can always get a “mаsk brace” to improve the fit of KF94/KN95s (which are effectively the same as surgical mаsks on~90% of people). @FixTheMask

We didn't partner with @armbrust_usa by mistake -- they make some of the best surgical masks in the business.
@caruzycki @CPita3 @FixTheMask @armbrust_usa @masknerd tested Armbrust & 8 other surgicals with FixTheMask; Armbrust, MaskLab and Zubrex passed the N95 standard, the rest did not.

The same applies if there's a shortage of #BetterMasks. That's why we made the most scalable option for improving fit we could think of.
What's frustrating about the masks issue-- if the head of the CDC is still saying that respirators are too uncomfortable for most people (again, not true; some models may be, others not), shouldn't a big priority be to solve this rather than rely on it as a reason for inaction?

Great interview @AbraarKaran! Exactly what CDC ought to be saying but instead recently on PBS CDC director recommended “two-layer cotton masks” w/o electrostatic filters. Yet Dr. Fauci + @CDCDirector were on TV the other day w/ @POTUS wearing N95.
