.@AndrewCuomo flirted with a 97.9 FM's female radio host today during an interview, asking her if they can go on a date together. Cuomo's people say it was a joke

w that being said ai is just a natural extension of long-standing conditions that value wealth-building, instant gratification, efficiency, etc & de-value the idea of doing anything for its own sake without profit incentive. as I wrote abt here

Weekly maximum unemployment insurance will go up from $504 to $869 a week! This coupled with reducing the waiting period by a week for UI for striking workers are major wins for all workers Proud of the work @UAWRegion9A and @UAWregion9 did together to help win both of these
NY will pay off its $7B unemployment debt in new state budget - Benefits will go up - Taxes on biz go down

The New York State budget is being negotiated right now, but our elected leaders are failing to prepare for federal spending cuts. Instead, they want to compound the problem with $2 billion per year in new tax cuts. My op-ed with @EmMurphEis

One under-appreciated aspect of the tariffs is how we're basically going to get a repeat of the 2020 pandemic where the biggest companies get a lot bigger and the smaller get smaller (or just disappear).

Folks refuse to admit that all of the rugpulling in every direction has a permanent cost attached to it. Like taking a negotiations class where you feel clever about anchoring and optionality, but never understand the concept of a repeated game
Timeline devoid of any āArt of the Dealā posts. Bull case is now firmly whether Trump capitulates in time to avoid disaster Deeply embarrassing for our country. Maybe he folds in time, but surely a bunch of broken partnerships, norms, etc that canāt be put back together

The problem with a lot of para-academics, deans and pundits is all they do all day is talk, mostly about things that are unverifiable or unverified. so they have a vested interest in the idea that talking is general intelligence *regardless of the correctness of the content*

NY policymakers need to be very conscious right now of 1) funding NYCHA, and 2) funding HAVP so that new yorkers on vouchers or in public housing do not all lose their housing over the next year. Maybe we can get some of these things in the budget???
If you or someone you know receives a section 8 voucher or lives in public housing, you need to be aware that the govt plans to cut it. Letās discuss navigating thisā¦.
