The thing is . Hochul/NY Dems seemingly can't do anything to respond in 2026.
@GovKathyHochul tells Texans: "Up until now, Democrats have treated our political system like it’s still governed by norms, guarded by limits and rooted in fairness. Rules were meant to be followed. It hurts to say it, but that era has come to an end.".

The biggest change I recall was Cuomo backing repeal of 50a.
@andrewcuomo @ZohranKMamdani In response - Cuomo says that no police departments ended up losing their funding. He also doesn’t mention exactly which reforms were implemented as a result of this edict.
