OK, the LNER knife attacker was “UK-born”. So were the 7/7 terrorists. So were the Woolwich Barracks, London Bridge and Westminster Bridge murderers. So was Axel Rudakubana. They grew up watching Blue Peter; but they heard ancestral voices prophesying war. Me in @spectator.

Most Brits of immigrant heritage are law-abiding. Most British Muslims reacted with uncomplicated disgust to the Manchester Arena bombing.

If anyone was in any doubt as to how Labour MPs and BBC staff march in lockstep, look no further than attempts to discredit the estimable Robbie Gibb.
@afneil I see that Labour MPs are jumping up and down insisting that Robbie Gibb be fired. How is Gibb responsible for the litany of mistakes the BBC made?

No one is forced to buy The Times - or else risk a prison sentence - in order to read any other newspaper.
Note that Farage & all of the BBC bashers out there have had nothing to say about the two serious ‘editorial errors’ made by The Times in as many weeks. No calls for heads to roll there.

Almost uniquely among public bodies, the BBC’s gets formal protection from transparency. With its journalistic output now mired in a series of grave scandals, that is no longer sustainable Sunlight is the best disinfectant A thread on the BBC & the Freedom of Information Act

Great to see one of my investigations in @Telegraph! We've handed £20m in aid to Ethiopia to “improve its economy”, including funding for their tax collection service. Why are we doing this when our own tax code is the longest and most complex in the world?
🔴 The British public is footing a £20m bill to train tax collectors in Ethiopia, The Telegraph can disclose https://t.co/d5Lvd4cgbB

Taking from my pensions savings to deliver inflation busting increases to state pension spending today. The cruel irony here is there’s no way I’m getting state pension. The system will have long since collapsed by the time I retire. Good to know more will be taken from me to

Imagine working your whole life, 45 years in work, 15 in retirement, only to hand over £1.3 million to the taxman. Well, you don't have to, because that’s the reality for the average British household 💷 Researcher @strickia explains our new paper, Lifetime Tax 2025 👇

We Conservatives should ask ourselves why (beyond pure electoral reasons) we have been unwilling or unable to say that the triple lock at least needs to be looked at. It's something that every think tank knows to be necessary, and it's very brave of @TiceRichard to say this.
"Let's have these difficult conversations." Reform UK deputy leader Richard Tice speaks to #R4Today about possibly ending the pensions triple lock after the next election.

🚨 Confirmed from the Government, racism is okay, provided it is against the right people. Discrimination based on skin colour should never be acceptable.
