Great thread. Labour would be mad not to scrap the bill. They claim to be desperate to boost growth, yet they're unable to find the spending cuts needed to ease the tax burden on business. But they have right in front of them a fiscally neutral way to reduce those pressures. .
The Government has made two key promises:. 1) to prioritise economic growth.2) to not tax working people. The Employment Rights Bill, back in Parliament today, effectively breaks both of these promises. 🧵.
