I was delighted to open for Ed Thompson, @Salesforce & Kira Levy, @awscloud to give a different perspective on the #NHS 10yr plan.AI agents need to undertake tasks and save humans effort - not just assist; & its Transformation not technology to fix it #DHSS25 @DHSummerSchools.

Great to listen to Stephen Kinnock at the @restate_thinks Re:Imagining Health conference here at the @salesforce tower in London. The push from Analogue to Digital will need a new approach and a move from “build in house” to buying what works - if it is to deliver.

Spot on - we have an amazing opportunity here. I hope the NHS and the 10 year plan are brave. How Labour should save the NHS (from @TheEconomist)

Thank you for posting this. I trust @jessphillips, who’s been shouting the need to stop blaming the victims, for years. We don’t need a hypocritical call for another enquiry - we need to implement the lessons so hard learned.
Ok this is a bit harrowing but we do need to talk about it. You know this whole “why did the police ignore grooming” thing in the 2000s? . Well I was a kid in the 2000s. I was born in 1996. And I want to talk about what society thought about “girls making bad choices”. 🧵.

Quite right. It is never “safe” or dignified to be treated in a corridor. It must stop - and that requires a whole system approach.
Called out NHSE’s narrative that it’s possible to provide safe care in corridors. Used strong language putting our statement together, reflecting @RCollEM members’ and colleagues’ strength of feeling on this matter. Degree to which corridor care is normalised is dumbfounding

Yes - absolutely this! I don’t download the whole internet to just read the news. But we will need an accurate relationship manager in the middle. “Who has your records? What are your preferences? So who can see them?”.Don’t hard code the app. Don’t build multiple data lakes.
Lots of discussion about digital health records in the NHS today. Modernisation, and privacy. But here’s the thing — we DON’T need a massive new database. Here’s how we do it. 1/.

A brilliant thread on how journalism works (in some quarters). Clickbait and reinforced prejudice are more important than prosaic truth.
I see we’re all upset about paintings again 🙄. Urgh! The comments under the posts about this are absurd. “Starmer hates Britain” they all bleat in unison. But the story behind the headline is more interesting…. 🧐 . 🧵.1/10
