Finally! It is happening! After 6 years of hard work by formidable teams in 13 institutions @RESOLUTE_IMI, we have ordered and validated the results and are able to share the FOUR (4) papers aimed at assigning functional properties to each human SLC #membranetransporter

Macrophages are terrible at migrating. In contrast, their precursor cells - monocytes - are highly motile. Monocytes exploit interleukin 6 (IL-6) secreted by cancer cells and themselves to migrate fast and promote cancer cell proliferation. More here: https://t.co/r2uyQ2I6pB

Is it always possible to assign #GeneExpression #CellStates to #SingleCells? Or can biological noise set fundamental limits? In our new work, we show that #CircadianClock states *cannot* be assigned to single cells due to transcriptional noise! https://t.co/bWRda1d9PT (1/8)

For 25 years, the Toll-like Receptor pathway was considered a series of distinct protein complexes that drive inflammation. Today, we report that the entire pathway, from receptor to transcription factor, is executed from within one complex—the myddosome. https://t.co/J9xnnt0xXD

There's been amazing coverage of our new paper @Nature https://t.co/qkrUksBYVW but I wanted to put together a walk-through (and make this accessible as possible). It's a bit long so get a cup of tea! The full version is open access so pls do have a read if you are interested...

Excited to share our new study on the heterogeneity of interstitial macrophages based on their chemokine expression -conserved in humans and mice- a major role is to orchestrate leukocyte recruitment and establish TLS formation. @XinLi0419 @ArlindUC17 https://t.co/ceXaz91VEB

Learning how to “read” the genome is a basic skill for all biologists. As an introduction, here’s a 🧵 about using the genome browser to make a discovery about how we lost our tails. All you need is your 'thinking eye'! (1/13)

In scRNA-seq analysis, "overcorrection" of batch effects is a frequent cause for loss of important biological variability. Using prior celltype knowledge is a powerful way to limit overcorrection and should be more common practice. Sharing new preprint! https://t.co/j9qB7kLumH
