CCHD ❤️ Family Living a new post 2020 life, knowing infectious disease can cause & worsen chronic illness. Teacher
Joined February 2022
Our close relative passed away. Their chemo had worked, their cancer stabilised but they died as a result of a contagious illness. Their oncology team told them to be careful but refused to demonstrate that in practice. Lack of hospital IPC gave our extended family “permission”…

The NHS have published a pandemic response document suggesting “it will not be possible to halt the spread of a new pandemic virus and it would be a waste of public health resources to attempt to do so”. I would like to draw their attention to exhibits A, B & C below ⬇️
NHS England: “It will not be possible to halt the spread of a new pandemic virus, and it would be a waste of public health resources and capacity to attempt to do so.” This has got to be one of the most 🤯 things I’ve ever seen written down in an official document.

If you think societal collapse is an exaggeration, I suggest you read the impact of #LongCovid calculated by an economist. He had to calculate it twice *so far*, as the numbers continue to grow. https://t.co/9mVBnrOY9i
Don't normalize or look away young people leaving their jobs in the prime of their careers because of #LongCovid. This happens while our grants for infectious disease research continue to be cut or drastically reduced. This anti-science movement will lead to societal collapse.

“Flu is worse than Covid” narrative is 📈 as media pumps out more & more flu warnings, never once mentioning Covid, which has killed or disabled countless more in the last six years. Flu is horrendous. Covid is even more horrendous. Both are airborne.

The #Leonardi_Effect is just as advertised, @brownecfm Increasing the pool of immune dysregulated people allows all pathogens the opportunity to adapt and mutate We are beginning to see the collective costs of pursuing a political and economic course against a novel pathogen☠️
This is exactly what happens when a novel seasonal influenza strain meets a population with Covid-induced immune dysregulation; it's not 'like Covid again', it's the ongoing and continuous effects of Covid. https://t.co/Je1uPxf86r

I continue to be amazed by the paucity of airborne infection prevention & control in #NHS hospitals & healthcare facilities. Is it any wonder there are so many inpatients w/ Flu atm? Why are staff so reluctant to wear a mask 😷? @NHSEngland @UKHSA @CMO_England @wesstreeting
Footage shared with ITV News has revealed “warzone” corridor care at an NHS hospital. The videos filmed this week at Queen’s Hospital in East London appear to show elderly and vulnerable patients left for days in cramped passageways instead of wards.

Yes, we should be wearing masks. This flu is debilitating, dangerous and has already killed babies and kids amongst others. This Flu season is breaking records all over the world and comes on the back of Covid which damages the immune system - which the media is silent about.

The evidence that sars cov 2 harms the immune response is increasing. People said it did not do that
Can past COVID-19 weaken the body’s ability to fight tuberculosis? ➡️ A new study comparing immune responses to SARS-CoV-2 and Mycobacterium tuberculosis (MTB) suggests COVID-19 may dampen both antiviral and anti-TB immunity — even months later. 1/

Schools are flying blind when it comes to effective IPC! Reducing singing is not going to stop a flu outbreak. 100% attendance targets which force sick kids into school cause outbreaks. It’s in the air they breathe! @CleanAir4KidsUK

This devastating flu wave is the result of a “personal responsibility” approach to public health.
An unprecedented flu wave with ‘no peak in sight’ comes as the NHS prepares for the added pressure of strike action. https://t.co/VVo9ExIBpf

I had a cancer check in August. I never received any results. My GP said they didn't have results and I should call the test centre. The test centre doesn't give out results, and told me to phone outpatients. I phoned outpatients, and they passed me to the relative clinic, but

Thank you for this review @VirusesImmunity and @jannamoen! What are we going to do about the millions of people who are not recovering nor dying after an acute infection event? Will we continue to pretend they don't exist? #LongCovid #MECFS #LymeDisease #PANS etc, etc 🙄
Check out our new review, "The lingering shadow of epidemics: post-acute sequelae across history" by Drs. Christine Miller and @jannamoen. We highlight historical accounts of post-acute infection syndromes (PAIS) through the centuries 👇🏼 #LongCOVID

If I was Education secretary I’d most definitely ignore the main cause of absence (sickness) and focus on parents taking kids on holiday or the classic “since the pandemic….” rhetoric which ignores the virus & states pupils/parents are breaking social contract @bphillipsonMP
UK SCHOOL ATTENDANCE The latest school attendance data was published today (data up to w/c 17 Nov). Below are the reasons for absence for primary schools ⬇️ If you were a headteacher looking to improve attendance, which ONE thing would you pick to focus on?

PUPIL ATTENDANCE & ILLNESS The government & media seem to believe that the significant rise in pupil absence compared to pre-pandemic is primarily driven by truancy. They don’t seem to believe there is a GENUINE increase in illness. So let’s take a closer look at the data… 🔎

..and are told they must maintain attendance of 95%+ & their parents are told “simple viruses” (her words) are unavoidable & may even be “good” as they “build immunity”. How long will these pandemic lies continue? How much untold suffering are we causing trying to be “normal”?

Covid is not like other viruses. The public have not been told this. Many health professionals still do not know this. How will everyone find out? Maybe only when they/their loved ones are harmed!
COVID isn’t acting like the viruses most of us grew up with, and treating it like “just a cold” is putting people at real risk. David Brasure breaks down why SARS-CoV-2 is fundamentally different, how it causes long-term damage, and what we can do to protect ourselves. Read the
