I can't say enough great things about all that Allison can bring to your department! She's been an amazing member of my lab, but our loss will be your gain, as well as hers.

The fabulous Pragya Sidhwani @pra_sidh wrote this nice article about ideas for how cells build boundaries between chromatin domains, particularly the centromere! https://t.co/h3sL1MAAld Would love to hear other ideas for this question. #heterochromatin #centromere #boundaries

Happy to share our new preprint! @yukti__dhingra found that both domains of a type I-G Cas4/1 fusion have nuclease activities. Each domain cleaves one end of a prespacer, allowing for prespacer selection, processing, and integration all in one adaptation complex!

📯 Our work on a new core splicing factor is out in @MolecularCell! FUBP1 is important for splicing of long introns. Multivalent interactions support spliceosome assembly and intron bridging. Great collab with @Sattler_lab & Luck_lab. Check it out here: https://t.co/eb8TBuRZbr

Paper alert ‼️ 🚨 What is the role of RNA in the initiation of DNA replication? We have answers to this long standing question. Yes, RNA has a lot to say in how and where origins are activated. Check out our paper by amazing first author @AinaMMas https://t.co/2VqLrVKSig

Proud of these two Hinkley High @aurorak12 grads that have worked in the lab for 1-2 summers. They’ve grown into full-fledged members of the lab and have contributed a lot to this @nsf sponsored project on molecular epigenetics.

The use of cryoEM to study RNA structures is on the upswing, with the need for more tools and techniques. In this preprint, Conner Langeberg describes his "scaffold-based" approach to visualize small folded RNAs.
