If I had a son, I would want him looking up to guys like Joshua Smith. After all that was done to him, he approached that debate stage in 2020 with alpha male confidence and despite not winning, walked away still looking like a champ! The most badass thing I have ever seen.

In my head, whenever I see "Classical Liberal Caucus" in text or hear it spoken out loud, I replace it with the words Neoconservative Caucus. Because that's what they are. They have more in common with George W Bush and William Kristol than they do with Jefferson and Bastiat.

Ann Lesley Smith has roots in California's Central Valley where I live. She was a chaplain in the Manteca Police Department. She's also the widow of Chester Smith who owned radio stations all over the valley as well as Modesto's only TV station until it was sold to Telemundo.
