Yeah. I don't think people realize it wasn't just a video file. Assets and project files are priceless in a situation like this. Months of time could have gone into creating each 3d model or animation. Losing that progress despite it being altered later would be dooming.

I remember going to the hospital kitchen to order my dad something to eat. I brought back some food, and he ate two bites. I also remember him closing his eyes calling out his granddaughter's name over and overat a family dinner. She was in another state.
