Holly Springs EF4, 12/23/15; A Forgotten beast. 2 Days before Christmas, 31 Tornadoes would touch down across 10 states, but one tornado, a mile wide beast, would stand out from the rest. A Mega Thread 🧵.

The #EastonFire may have just spotted roughly 3 miles south and started a new fire, named the #BertFire. This may be made into a complex, very bad situation for the LA Metro unfolding.

Summit was absolutely amazing. It's so sad to go, but it was a absolutely awesome and fun time. It was really amazing to see and meet everyone, and make friendships that'll last for a long time. It was a absolute blast, can't wait for next year. Best 3 days ever. #NSCS25

Safe to say, today's chase was a success. Got 3 tornadoes, from 1 different cell. One visible in Union MO.One extremely close call in Union MO.And one in Gray Summit.All within around 45 minutes of eachother.

9 years ago today, multiple towns across Northern Mississippi and Southern Tennessee would be devastated. Unbeknownst to some of the residents of Holly Springs and Ashland, in just a few hours, a unforgiving beast would destroy there livelihoods. 1/12 🧵.

Now on the other side of the Metro, the #PalisadesFire continues to spread. Firefighters are concerned for the Mandeville Canyon area, past that is very densely packed suburbs of Los Angeles. Listen to all evacuation orders, this is a very bad situation!

It moved NE, maintaining EF4 Intensity. The Tornado left impressive ground scouring multiple inches deep, and severe granulation was reported. It then weakened as it went through mostly forested areas. 2 Fatalities were reported in Marshall County, and about 200 homes were hit.

The Tornado would carve a 75 Mile Path of destruction, The viscous winds would destroy trees, homes, businesses, and lives. The Tornado would first touch down south of Wyatte, Mississippi, and continued north east until reaching the town of Chulahoma. 2/12.

The Tornado would completely destroy three cinderblock restrooms, and remove all plumbing inside them. It then turned a 2 Story cinderblock building into rubble, then carried a 15 ton RV 110 yards, dropping it on the building. Then it Lodged a plastic straw into a tree. 5/12

The Tornado began Mangling Cars, leaving them unrecognizable. One vehicles engine was torn from its chassis, and carried multiple yards away. The Tornado left extreme scouring here, and even tore of 40 Yards of Asphalt of off Lamar Road. 8/12

It then rapidly intensified before reaching Chulahoma, where it would destroy multiple poorly built homes and mobile homes alike. The tornado moved NE, then rapidly grew in size, before striking the Marlow Church of Christ at EF4 Intensity, leaving the church in rubble. 3/12

As the Tornado crossed the state line into Tennessee, it slightly intensified, destroying a building at EF3 Intensity. It then weakened, and likely dissipated south of Pocahontas, Tennessee. Below are some photos of this Monster Tornado, which had a peak width of a mile wide.

As the Tornado approached the town of Ashland, it once again intensified. The Tornado continued North East, Striking mainly forested areas. As the tornado approached the intersection at Cherry Brown and Lamar Roads, it reached peak intensity. Catastrophic damage ensued. 7/12.

The Monster of a Tornado would cause 9 Fatalities, 36 injuries, and cause a estimated $11 Million Dollars in damage. It peaked at a little over a mile wide, and it left a 75 Mile long damage path. (12/12)

I just had a twisters scene moment dude. I'm sitting here in the car, watching the wind blow everything around, sitting down looking at models on my computer.And the radio just says."It's going to be the worst storms we've seen in maybe years". holy hell.

The Tornado Continued moving North east, until striking the south side of Holly Springs. Located at Holly Springs was the Holly Springs Motorsport Park, where some of the most impressive damage was located. (More about the damage on next post). 4/12.

The Tornado then impacted a small subdivision of homes north west of Ashland, leaving catastrophic damage. The Tornado Completely destroyed multiple homes, and some houses were swept some clean off of there foundation. Including a well built two story home.

Yall. @MontyHickmanWx's Cat has unfortunatley passed away. His cat of 11 years. he was always hungry for love. He was a really fatty *funny* cat and was always amazing. His cat "crumbs" absolutely ate up life .

The Tornado weakened while exiting Benton County. Catastrophic damage was left in the county, and 6 Fatalities were reported. The Tornado struck the town of Three Forks, in Tippah County, where it damaged several homes. 1 Fatality was reported in Tippah County. 10/12.

@ChasingWConnor @SeeknDstroy7809 Yes, but, people have turned it into a term to make fun of and degrade people. He may not have said it with ill intent but it can sure sound that way, especially if the person your saying the slur to is a member of the race or ethnicity it was meant to make fun of.
