I was supposed to have an NIH study section (KEDD) today but it was "postponed TBD" yesterday. NIH can't make awards if it can't publicly announce its study section and Council meetings in the Federal Register. No meeting has been added since Jan 21.

One of the most well-reasoned takes on these cuts I have seen.
This is a huge deal. “Indirect costs”, as they’re called, from NIH still pay for direct science — eg, funding science labs, lab upkeep — but also university administration. Cutting this line item by billions of dollars is going to threaten university jobs but also potentially.
