Have to be careful there’s no knee jerk reaction to course set up.. Courses MUST NOT promote 1 dimensional golf! Length alone doesn’t make a player. Have to be fair & provoke mental as well as physical skills. Thick rough, tight fairways isn’t always the answer.

What is worrying to me is that it gives a lot of kids a false sense of ability. Turning pro is a no brainier and then they find the harsh reality. Unless there’s an immediate return clause to amateur golf it leaves kids in wilderness too long.

No player should arrive on Tour slow. They should be coached, taught, helped to make this game better for everyone to enjoy. Next time, please speak up for the sake of the game. Slow play is terrible etiquette at best It’s unsportsmanlike like conduct. It needs to be eradicated.
