This is kind of a trope. The communist countries were only 1 generation removed from being agrarian/feudal societies. The process of rapid forced industrialization is not an easy one - there was more than just ideology at play here.
Then go back, spend a week there queuing for basic necessities, not able to lave the country, with censorship and oppression of all civil liberties, and then let’s talk again.

So many things that used to be a 30 second phone call now require creating an online account, confirming your email address, and filling out a digital form.

Very interesting to equate affording a home in a high cost metro and affording to have a baby. Chances are people with such high standards will not revolt or watch the country burn. That would be far too uncomfortable!.
An entire generation under the age of 30 is coming to realization that having a family and home will never be within the grasp of reality for them. Society is not ready for the consequences of this. A generation with no stake in the system would rather watch it burn

Anti-communist propaganda has been very effective in America. It’s why you see so many people on Twitter espousing the same principles as Marx, but if you asked them their thoughts on Marxism they would claim to hate it.
It's actually fascinating to me how strong the "programming" is against these youths simply calling for actual seizure and redistribution of homes, assets, etc. It's what they want but even the "edgiest" ones typically can't bring themselves to say it or think it.

Isn’t it common knowledge at this point that the US government basically manages the cartels? This is probably more about keeping them in line than protecting Americans lmao.
Because serious men have decided that ruthless foreigners who profit from the destruction of Americans should get what's coming to them. We've tried this your way and it hasn't worked. So now we're doing it differently.

The notion that the founders were speaking the word of God rather than a bunch of merchants and landowners advocating for their own material interests is absurd, and yet many intelligent people seem to believe it.

It’s quite interesting to see the responses to this. The excuse is that screens are just a sedative for children. They also all seem to imply that children never went to restaurants before the rise of ScreenWorld!.
Crazy to see so many parents just letting kids play games on screens at restaurants. If they’re on a screen at a restaurant, when are they not on screens? I guess they’ve decided to not even try to parent?.

“It’s got nothing to do with in-group solidarity, it’s because people in that group are less individualistic/adversarial and more willing to cooperate for the greater good of the group”.
Jews and gays can become dominant in cities for reasons many misunderstand about “networking.” It’s got nothing to do with group solidarity as such or the general mass of people in these or any other group. It’s only got to do with IQ or other such things incidentally. The real.

The idea that everyone can experience upward mobility for the rest of eternity was always very silly. Plus, for a lot of people in America, how much better can it really get?.
“People like me have a good chance of improving our standard of living”. From 75% to 25% in just 20 years. Incredibly bleak chart

There’s a song written about this exact phenomenon called “Civilization”.
Same in the Adirondacks. I've literally sat next to retired bankers at bars here who say "yeah, I finally retired, so I can go hiking everyday, fish when I like, drink beer, and do as I please here in the woods.". Then they turn to me, age 31 and ask "What do you do?". Buddy.

I did quite a bit of homework in high school and college and I wouldn’t say it caused any tension/family conflicts (and I had 2 working parents) and didn’t destroy my childhood. It is possible that it prepared me to excel in the 4HL though!.
Homework exists to destroy your childhood, create tension, cause family conflicts, and get you used to obeying stupid bureaucratic busywork.
