Loads of people looking at this as a coup attempt. I see it as a Mutiny. Prigozhin made all the right words about it not being a coup. Putin made all the right words about it being a crime. Words mean things, and they said "Open to Negotiation". That makes it a mutiny.

@Gerashchenko_en Wagner (Prigozhin) is not out of the game and sending them to Belarus plays into his hands. Much closer to the throne than Rostov on Don. If Putin is careful, everything plays out Post-Putin, and Prigozhin is hungry. Lukashenka may be a snack.

@bettingresource @DefMon3 That's the nature of combat. 99% of ammo expended is simply to force the enemy to keep their head down (Suppressing Fires) while getting into grenade range, or Keep them in place while you maneuver (Pinning Fires). Extremely not CoD.

If he was able to secure a greater concentration of his forces in Belarus, closer to Moscow, then he's increased his power. The measure is how much force he has to disperse to Africa. And a new door has opened for him. Has Lukashenko invited a very hungry shark into his pool?

Keep in mind, Prigozhin has an objective that probably wasn't a change in the seat of power... at this moment. More likely a chess move to increase his own power. In that view, would Prigozhin have dealt down to a less powerful hand? Not if I were him.
