This is just pathetic nonsense. The UK can’t run out of £, it issues £, it can never go bust. Ever. The people saying that a currency issuing monetary sovereign faces bankruptcy need to be re-educated and stop believing in idiotic lies about money.

The UK is on the verge of bankruptcy - national debt has hit nearly £3 trillion, & 100% of GDP That means the country owes as much as it earns That kind of debt fuels inflation, weakens your savings & makes you poorer And there’s only one thing the government will do: KEEP

Much of the £10.9bn in taxpayer money lost to fraud and error in Covid support schemes is now "beyond recovery", a report has said. However, forcing poverty-stricken carers to pay back non-fault debt is "not beyond recovery." Pays to be rich and influential doesn't it.

Cutting benefits doesn't 'incentivise work'. But it does penalise and humiliate people on benefits, and that's the real point.

Labour has announced a crackdown on benefit fraud. Just like the Tories in 1992. And Labour in 1997. And the coalition in 2013. And the Tories in 2023. And Labour last year. Wash, rinse, repeat.

I cannot say this strongly enough: If a person is working full-time and has to be on Universal Credit, the "benefits scrounger" is the employer. We are subsidising companies to accrue high levels of profit while underpaying the value of their labour.

Sixty percent of those hit by the two-child cap are in working families. It would be extremely interesting to know how many Gail’s Bakery employees are on Universal Credit. When the state subsidises low wages, does Luke count that as welfare? #BBCQT

Unpaid carers receive £83.30 a week. 47% do 90+ hrs of complex medical & disability care, that’s 92p an hour. Calling support a “welfare giveaway” while carers keep people alive for less than £1 an hour is indefensible.

Rachel Reeves is hiking taxes on hard-working people to fund a vast welfare giveaway. Britain isn’t working… because Labour thinks living within your means is optional. Only the @Conservatives have the plan and the backbone to put that right.

According to the Government, unpaid carers are labelled as “economically inactive.” But forms only give two options: “unemployed” or “homemaker.” Not unemployed, and not homemakers, homemaker assumes they’ve money. 47% of unpaid carers “care/work” 90 + hrs yet are not recognised

Unpaid carers are not outside the economy — they hold it together. They prevent admissions, reduce pressure on services & save government billions They receive less than £12 a day Minimum wage is £12.21 p/hr! The correct term? Economically active through essential unpaid labour

Newmarket MP Matt Hancock gave a £37bn Covid testing contract to Jockey Club director Dido Harding, who subcontracted it to Grand National sponsor Randox, employer of Tory MP Owen Paterson, whose late wife chaired Aintree racecourse. That's how the Tories handled the pandemic.

Removing asylum support. Seizing belongings. Deporting entire families, including children. Labour are not just paving the path to a Reform government. Reform may as well already be in power. This government has no moral compass — and it should be ashamed of its inhumanity.

It should appall absolutely everyone that millions of patients are unable to access timely healthcare in the NHS right now. It’s a national scandal and it’s been caused by direct decisions made by politicians.

Many terminally-ill people would feel “duress” and “pressure” to choose an assisted suicide if it is legalised, because of the lack of funding for the NHS, palliative care and social care services,…

If I came from a family that has held a seat in House of Lords for 7 generations and used it to protect their vast empire from Tax and Inheritance Tax. I probably wouldn't be complaining about free bus passes for Senior Citizens. You'd look ridiculous.

@ZackPolanski I’d wager most people in the U.K. who are anti-Genocide do not consider themselves “zealously pro Palestinian” or zealously anti-Israel. They simply want civilians protected and international law abided by. That’s certainly true of me and almost everyone I know.
