To address health inequalities alongside economic growth, a policy shift is needed. Big opportunity to get this right with the new English devolution bill, UK industrial strategy and directives for local growth plans. Check out our emerging thoughts!

What role can devolution play in tackling health inequalities? Pleased to have worked on this new report with @TheKingsFund and @CLESthinkdo colleagues to explore these issues, and think through the potential of devolution under a new government.

https://t.co/cxhm8DVFMt Good to see an anchors flavour to this but the NHS also needs support to look at its supply chain to purchase more locally. This could be a driver of resilience, sustainability and genuinely inclusive growth.

New paper from us and our friends at @NEF, @CooperativesUK and @thriving_places! Some great stuff happening in our combined authorities to build inclusive economies. With more devolution and less growth for growth’s sake deal making from Westminster these areas could really fly!

Too right inequality is growing. This is no accident. Economy is designed to extract from everyone else bar the asset and financially wealthy. Thus why #communitywealthbuilding is essential.

As @davidjbuck and @LucaTiratelli argued last week ICSs need to be given time to find their feet.. But, we need better devo arrangements. No more growth growth’s sake deals. We need broader targets for CAs to address the wider determinants. STAT!!

The Covid-19 pandemic raised the profile of directors of public health. But has that increased profile been sustained? It’s a complicated picture, says Luca Tiratelli.

The newly published research from @CLESthinkdo @WomensBudgetGrp & @LeedsCC_News is sobering stuff. The barriers to paid work encountered by women in Leeds has risen by 7% in the last year. This has huge economic & social impact. It's time to rewire the economy around inclusivity!
