Regression to the mean? Participants more likely to remember meds when scheduled for office visit? Less anxiety knowing they had a procedure?.

Table 3 shows it quite nicely. 24h BP drops in both groups (RDN & sham) but more so in the former - as expected. What’s happening at the office visits though? -15 and -8 drop in the sham group. Less pronounced but still there.

Renal denervation sham controlled trial published in @CircAHA - how intriguing! Great effort by the investigators - but I have questions.

Neat way of thinking about proximal cap ambiguity. Will have to pay closer attention to Boston IVUS pullbacks in the longitudinal view.

An Easy Way To Resolve Proximal Cap Ambiguity Using IVUS. Ambiguity of the PC adds complexity to any antegrade CTO PCI approach (#AWE, #ADR, #TDADR, #HDR etc). Here is one way to ID the PC using the AVVIGO+ IVUS system. Here is a D1 with an ambiguous PC.
