I mean, did someone reboot the computer where you press play on the next program due to be broadcast on CBBC, and they was simply no other broadcast computer available at BBC? Were they trying to figure out how to connect to another server at Red Bee?

As a TV nerd would be interested in what broke with the IT outage this morning. Did computers literally refuse to boot up so they couldn’t press play on play out systems?

BBC TV is providing the most comprehensive coverage of an Olympic games in broadcasting history, with up to 2,500 hours of live coverage.
BBC has 250 hours of Olympic coverage as most rights are tied with Discovery. Channel 4 has 1300 hours of coverage with their Paralympics.

I had similar thoughts last night. Understandably some will be missed during peek declarations but I wished for an iplayer stream of just feeds and graphics. Their graphics stream was a good start but was lacking any real context and I never knew if the results shown were new
We won't get any Portillo moments because of the TV channels coverage are all vapid panels and not showing any actual vote declarations
