This doesn’t mean that Mary isn’t also a mediator in another aspect. The wedding at Cana is an example.

Apparently, this is legal. For ballots which can’t be read by the machines a Rep counter and Dem counter cure the ballots. One reads off the votes and the other transcribes them onto a new ballot which is then stamped as a copy and scanned.
