Very excited to see this out! Congratulations to @hzhou99 and Pratibha Panwar who led so much of this project! š„³. Thank you to @shazanfar for co-leading this with me and most importantly thank you to @cziscience for supporting this work!.
Thrilled to share our new paper on spatialMNN! . It's a fast, scalable, and accurate method to integrate multiple spatial transcriptomics (SRT) datasets and identify shared spatial domains. #SpatialTranscriptomics #Bioinformatics #Genomics #RStats

Congratulations @kinnaryhshah @MicTott Svitlana Bach & all co-authors! Wonderful collab btw @jhubiostat @JohnsHopkins and @LieberInstitute spatially profiling human dACC š§ #TeamScience . Thank you @NIDAnews @NIMHgov for generous funding and support of this project!.
so excited to share that our preprint characterizing the dorsal anterior cingulate cortex in post-mortem human brain from @LieberInstitute is out! we integrated matched SRT and snRNA-seq data to investigate agranularity and von Economo neurons.

Huge congratulations @BoyiGuo! We are so proud of you and canāt wait to see what you do in this next chapter.
Excited to announce that I'll start as a tenure-track assistant professor @UofUPHS this fall. #BiostatsElevated. Our #GUOmics lab will focus on developing biologically informed machine learning methods to decode spatial and population-scale omics data. Look forward to colab!

Yesterday, the US Health Secretary stated repeatedly he had ānot fired any working scientistsā and was ānot withholding money for lifesaving research". This is completely false. Below is an example of a good friend who not only lost a grant from the NIH earlier this week⦠1/n.
Yesterday, the NIH R35 āOutstanding Investigatorā grant to fund scientists in my lab studying antibiotic resistance was terminated for reasons not related to the content of the science, or any actions taken by me or members of my lab

NIH serves the US public. If you value the ability to get diagnosed and having treatments to a disease when you or a loved one get sick (cancer, Alzheimerās, heart or kidney disease, diabetes, etc) please consider calling your representative. This has to be stopped. #SaveTheNIH.

Friends, I am at a loss of words for how devastating it would be to lose the entire intramural #NIH program. Some of the biggest medical and scientific breakthroughs have come from scientists in the NIH Intramural program. #SaveTheNIH .

They found a loop hole around the court order to unfreeze NIH funds. Grant review panels cannot be registered with the HHS now and so grants can't be reviewed and hence can't be disbursed. Stalling will have very serious long term consequences.

NIH-related updates to the Federal Register, which are required for the scheduling of study sections and advisory councils, are on hold indefinitely, according to an email reviewed by The Transmitter.

My heart is broken for all the children that will die from this decision. Vaccines save lives. It not only to protects yourself, but also protects those that cannot get vaccinated. Also, it reduces the burden on our already overwhelmed healthcare system.

The Louisiana Department of Health āwill no longer promote mass vaccination.ā That's according to a Thursday memo written by the stateās top health official and obtained by The Associated Press.
