My only view re. The Greenland Tariffs - beyond the obvious fact they're mental - is that I think we know for a fact that Trump is more likely to climb down from these tariffs than say, JD Vance would. US foreign policy is unpredictable, but that is preferable to the alternative

Watch the entire political class coalesce around a trade war over Greenland, while we surrender Northern Ireland to the EU and the Chagos Islands to a Chinese proxy. They aren't fit to lace our shoes.

Starmer says the UK will pursue the matter with the US administration and adds that the position of Greenland is "a matter for the Greenlanders and the Danes" But yet he is selling off the Chagos Islands and selling out the Chagossians to Mauritius without giving them any say.

Trump threatens additional 10% tariff (on top of existing ones) on Denmark, Sweden, Norway, the UK, France, Germany, Finland, the Netherlands starting February 1st over Greenland. By June, rate would increase to 25% payable until a sale for the complete ownership of the territory

The new BA tier points structure sets impossible hurdles even for frequent flyers regularly using business or first. I have always planned my extensive and expensive global travel through London to use BA. These days are over. I will now use whatever airline is most convenient
