I want to start a campaign for 24 hr access to food at NHS Hospitals for staff. I no longer want to see that there are others hungry. It's disgusting and not needed in the 21st century!

To close the loop we were paid today. The hospital has been great in many respects since changeover and I'm really enjoy the work there. This issue unfortunately wasn't communicated well at a time when financial pressures of living in Dublin are at an all time high

This is the utter nonsense that is a HSE payslip for doctors. Other countries (Australia) break down on which dates you worked overtime and how much you are paid for those hours on your payslip

It's taken 10 years to deliver new consultant contract (still not over the line) since pay was cut 1/3 for new entrants in 2012. Over 900 posts unfilled or not filled on a permanent basis and this is the message being sent out...

We're doubling our public health workforce by hiring more doctors, nurses, scientists and support staff. This is the single biggest investment in our vital public health workforce in decades. Vast majority of those posts have been filled. Am so happy to see this progress! 7/10

Adding 1000-2000 additional consultants to the HSE would obviously go a long way to solving the massive workload carried by NCHDs & drag us up from last position in OECD countries on consultant numbers per head of population. The 2012 contract has been a complete flop clearly 4/7

You need income of over €130,000 to quality for a mortgage to buy an average-priced house in Dublin.
This means that you need to be:
- in the top 15% of income earners in Ireland.

Paid 1600e back in March for education course abroad. Applied for reimbursement with HSE on 1st June. Full reimbursement approved two weeks ago. Cheque (don't ask) arrives in post tofay from hospital for 998e with no explanation where the remainder is..

solution to fixing our dire recruitment and retention crisis is not to force people to stay. I presume you believe journalists' taxpayer funded education should also lead them to giving back X years of service along with teachers engineers accountants etc..
Surely the question of requiring some years’ service in Ireland by health professionals in exchange for their very valuable training must come on the agenda at some stage.
