When I was a resident reporter at the Tribune, there was no union. Residents were paid SIGNIFICANTLY less than permanent reporters, even though we did the same work. Many moons later, I belong to the
@vox_union
and it’s made a big difference. I stand with these Trib reporters!
It’s about respect, empathy & human decency.
We deserve fair pay - specially Black/ Latino journalists who have been underpaid for decades. You cannot preserve or expect quality journalism if you don’t pay us for it.
