Sheffield says Kinloch hasn't attended City Council meetings, or raised concerns around housing, property tax reform, infrastructure, transit or other issues. "You've been completely silent." Kinloch calls her privileged, says she hasn't supported his church giveaway events.

Sheffield getting a few jabs on Kinloch tonight, says he's been avoiding campaign forums hosted by community groups. Sheffield says he has been “virtually absent this entire campaign with a sense of entitlement.”

Sheffield: "I understand, pastor, that it takes about an hour and a half to get from Oakland Township to Detroit to know what's happening on the ground here, and while you've been building up Southfield, you could have been helping build up Detroit."

Sheffield said Kinloch has been “completely absent” on providing solutions to violence. She said she’s on the ground advocating for additional funding for community violence intervention programs. “We've heard not one solution in his response."

Sheffield: "This is a critical moment in Detroit's recovery where we can move forward with progress, or we can gamble with our future with inexperienced leadership."

Kinloch plans knock Sheffield off her game tonight. His campaign said we should expect focus on persistent poverty, crime and affordable housing that Sheffield hasn't solved while serving on the City Council and how Kinloch will shift budgetary resources to address those issues.
