A conservative “news” site reports catching a man wheeling in “suspicious” equipment to the Detroit convention center, implying it was used to steal ballots.
The “ballot thief” was my photographer. He was bringing down equipment for our 12-hour shift.

Actually, you *can* make it up.
This clip—circulated by MI’s GOP co-chair—is about 6 years old. The hosts are talking about Donald Trump, not Elon Musk.
After accidentally recording himself buying drugs and using the n-word on duty, deputy Greg Marohn's career in law enforcement appeared over.
Then a small Michigan police department offered him a badge.
This man insists that people carrying Confederate flags at today’s protests are paid to be there simply to make protestors look bad.
Behind him is a sign depicting Governor Whitmer as Adolf Hitler.
Turnout in Detroit could *exceed* 2008 levels. Officials estimate 175,000 absentee ballots were cast and another 75,000 in person.
Could push turn out as high as 55%—the highest in 30 years.
Across four Michigan police departments, Officer Mark Aldrich would be accused of dishonesty, road rage, engaging in sex acts with a woman he’d arrested and destroying evidence. But it didn't stop him from finding work.
57 years ago today, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. led a march down Woodward Avenue.
Detroiters heard his “I Have a Dream Speech” at Cobo Hall, weeks before it was delivered in Washington, DC.
BIG: In-person voting in Detroit is expected to eclipse absentee voting--a surprise to election officials.
More than 87,000 are projected to have voted in-person, bringing total turnout to about 36%.
Earlier in the week, officials projected no higher than 33%
Before a Detroit police sgt. was hit with a $10 million lawsuit, he was nearly fired by DPD.
But after 2 vehicle accidents, 1 DUI, 61 citizen complaints, domestic abuse and use of the n-word…he was given a “last chance” in 2020.
For years, they were the four most feared words in Detroit: Steve Wilson is here.
As
@wxyzdetroit
celebrates its 75th anniversary,
@mattfrieds
reminds us why Detroit's most confrontational investigative reporter was a boon for the PR business.
“It’s not a razor thin margin. It’s 154,000 votes. You got to let those votes stand,” GOP Rep. Fred Upton says. “There’s no issues of fraud anywhere. … It’s over.”
Deputy Greg Marohn was forced out by the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office after accidentally recording himself buying drugs and using the n-word on duty.
A year later, the Holly Police department gave him a badge.
He's a Detroit cop who's amassed a staggering 85 citizens complaints, including multiple allegations that he used the N-word.
DPD moved to fire him in '18 after he was untruthful about firing his weapon. Instead, he was promoted three months later.
People screaming voter fraud in Michigan said William Bradley was proof that the dead rose on election day.
But Bradley, who they said died in 1984, is very much alive--and not too pleased to be roped into a baseless conspiracy.
This Michigan father has searched for 13 days to find a psychiatric bed for his son in crisis. He was told: no beds available.
This doesn’t happen if you have a heart attack. Why does it happen if you have a mental illness?
MSU trustees Rema Vassar and Dennis Denno were secretly recorded telling student groups how to “terrify”, “publicly embarrass” & “crucify” the school’s interim president.
Denno offered to pay for

MSU Trustee Joel Ferguson says board will never fire Lou Anna Simon "...because there are so many more things... than just this Nassar thing." Curious what he’d consider more important than this.
We just got a BIG win for the people of Michigan. Open up your Churches and your Schools. Auto companies pouring in and expanding (thank you Mr. President!). Have fun!
I am so sad and sorry to pass this along, at the family's request. Jamie Samuelsen, the best damn friend you could ever have, a tremendous broadcaster on

passed away tonight at 48. He was surrounded by his wonderful family, and he went peacefully.
Sen. Shirkey left the Senate chamber this morning through the back stair case and walked into his office a floor below, avoiding the media gathered in front of the Senate.
This racially-charged robocall reaching Detroiters falsely claims that voting by mail allows:
-police to track you down for old warrants
-credit card companies to come after you for old debts
-the government to ensure you receive mandatory vaccines.
It is garbage.
If Mel Tucker is trying to prove the phone sex he’s admitted to was consensual, nothing in the 106 pages he released this morning accomplishes that.
Only two people know what happened on that call. It would serve reporters everywhere well not to get out over their skis.
Whether or not you think Mel Tucker should’ve kept his job or not, there appears to be strong evidence that he was FALSELY accused of sexual harassment.
Trevor Bauer was FALSELY accused of sexual assault and hasn’t pitched in MLB since the accusation.
Matt Ariza was FALSELY…
He didn’t always like my stories, but Benny Napoleon never shied away from them. Always took my calls, never ducked an interview. He held people accountable and didn’t hide when it was his turn.
Rest in peace, Sheriff.
MSU President Satish Udpa will publish a magazine acknowledging the school’s horrific failures.
A magazine that former President John Engler had killed.
Michigan’s leading GOP candidate for governor, who’d be tasked with certifying 2024 results—>
NBC: Would you tell [Trump] that you would have certified Biden as winner of 2020 election in Michigan?
James Craig: “I don’t know if I would have told him I would have certified.”
Plenty will debate whether Kilpatrick’s 28 year sentence was too much. That debate is warranted.
What can’t be debated is the depth of his corruption. He stole from needy children. He stole from senior citizens. He drove a broken city further into ruin and never apologized.
Objectively,
@GovWhitmer
has been one of the most aggressive Governor's since the outbreak took hold. As recently as Saturday, with cases soaring,
@realDonaldTrump
said: "We are doing great. It all will pass."

It’s now up to $250,000 from more than 5,500 donors. It’s the largest single day sum in Michigan legislative history. I can’t think of a more powerful rebuke than that.
MSU’s 2018 saw criminal charges for its longtime president, dean & coach, the repeated revictimization of countless sexual abuse survivors and the largest lawsuit settlement of its kind.
Let’s hope that a once proud university gives us reason to cheer in 2019.
Spartan fans dismissed it, but the ESPN reports on sexual assaults involving student athletes were today nominated for a Peabody Award and, separately, awarded one of the highest honors in investigative reporting.

The state's 16 presidential electors have officially cast their votes for Joe Biden.

So today Moss said this.
Detroit City Council members were livid when they learned the city had forgiven a controversial landlord’s back taxes and blight tickets. Tonight on 7 Action News at 6, we'll show you what else he received.
A Flat Rock police sgt. drove to a crime scene with alcohol on his breath. He showed up wearing Crocs, a witness said he was stumbling and vomited twice and he was observed struggling to put his gun back in his holster. He wasn't breathalyzed by his fellow officers.
Shelby Twp.'s Police Chief blamed "keyboard warriors" for how he's been portrayed on social media.
A reminder: he used an anonymous Twitter account to endorse "errant baton swings," call those reporting police brutality "Libtards" and encourage violence on American streets.
The spokesman for MSU's president is tweeting a blog written by a fan who says ESPN's reporter is a "pathological liar incapable of acknowledging that she is wrong."
A sign outside a restaurant in Sanilac County, Michigan (where 35% of COVID-19 tests come back positive) says customers without a mask are still welcome.
A year ago, this punch in Detroit’s Greektown made headlines. Now we know the officer will not face criminal charges, according to Wayne County’s prosecutor.
In July, 2 Warren cops pulled a truck driver out of his semi, threw him to the ground and repeatedly tased him. He was charged with nothing.
City officials were so alarmed by what officers did, they paid the man $400k just 33 days late, but kept the officers' conduct secret.
Exceedingly proud that

A day before he enters the governor's race, I asked James Craig about something he said back in 2014.
He was upset only half the city's homicides were being cleared and set a goal to clear 70% going forward.
DPD never came close and today, Craig didn't remember saying it.
BREAKING: Interim Chief James White announces that Sgt. Stephen Kue has been taken off patrol and placed on administrative duty. White is launching an investigation into his conduct, promising to personally review each of the 85 complaints against him.
He's a Detroit cop who's amassed a staggering 85 citizens complaints, including multiple allegations that he used the N-word.
DPD moved to fire him in '18 after he was untruthful about firing his weapon. Instead, he was promoted three months later.
Two years since fostering the largest sex abuse scandal in sports history, Michigan State continues to put reputation over truth. Brand over everything. They have learned nothing , and that should frighten us all.
Per order from

, people in Michigan are now banned from purchasing a new baby car seat in stores.
This is dangerous and this order needs clarification immediately.

A 7-year-old sat for 23 days in a Detroit ER because no psychiatric hospital would take him.
Children languish like this all the time in Michigan because Lansing lawmakers allow it to happen.
