To boost our supply of affordable housing, I signed an executive order to streamline funding—so we can get dollars out the door and build affordable homes fast 💵

Our workforce is the backbone of our economy. We’ve delivered millions through the Housing and Community Development Fund to build and renovate housing for Michigan’s workforce—so they can build a life right here in Michigan.

We set a bold goal to build or fix 75,000 homes by fall of 2026. Earlier this year, a full year ahead of schedule, we knocked our goal out the park. So, we raised the bar to 115,000 homes by next fall. I know we can get it done. Let’s build, baby, build!

I was so excited to be at the grand opening of RJ’s Burgers and Ice Cream in East Lansing. RJ’s is a true Michigan staple and a colorful, flavorful addition to East Lansing's thriving restaurant scene. I’m wishing all the best to RJ’s East Lansing and thanks for the sweet treat.

These bills reaffirm our commitment to fight for those who fight for us. I’m proud that legislators worked across the aisle to pass these commonsense bills. Let’s keep working together to make health care and child care more affordable for everyone.

Today I signed a set of bills that will lower the cost of health care and child care for members of the Michigan National Guard and their families. These bills will ensure that members of the National Guard can provide for their families while they keep us safe.

Fixing the damn roads was a promise made and a promise kept. I’ve prioritized making your morning commute safer, smoother, and more reliable by investing billions into our roads.   I will keep working to fixing the damn roads for the next generation of Michigan drivers.

Making driving safe and reliable means investing in all transportation infrastructure. We’ve made great progress by launching the Bridge Bundling program to streamline coordination and permitting of bridge repairs, helping us repair 1,900 bridges across the state.

Additionally, road investments have supported over 118,000 good-paying construction jobs throughout the state -- jobs that have helped families keep food on the table and build a future right here in Michigan. Our roads workers show up for us, I’m proud we've shown up for them.

I also launched the Rebuilding Michigan plan to fund 100+ new roads projects over a five-year period. This plan provided an additional $3.5 billion towards making roads and bridges safe and reliable, without an increase at the pump.

As governor, I’ve fought to secure funding to fix our damn roads. I’m proud to have signed 7 balanced, bipartisan budgets securing record investments. This includes the largest roads deal in Michigan history to fix state and local roads for years to come.

Since day one, I made a promise to Michiganders. No more waiting, no more delays—we’re fixing the damn roads.   7 years, 24,500 lane miles of roads fixed, 1,900 bridges repaired, over 118,000 construction jobs supported, and a $2 billion roads deal later, we’ve got sh⚠️t done 🧵

We established Michigan Reconnect to offer Michiganders over the age of 25 a tuition-free associate’s degree or skills certificate. We know that learning is for a lifetime and no matter where you are in life, we want to help you reconnect with your education journey.

We also broke down financial barriers to a four-year college education. The Michigan Achievement Scholarship provides real relief for students and their families. I'm proud we expanded the scholarship to lower the financial burden of earning a bachelor's degree.

Learning doesn't stop at graduation. We've worked hard to ensure every student has affordable options after K-12. The Michigan Guarantee ensures every high school graduate can earn an associate's degree or skills certificate, tuition-free at their local community college.
