Periodic reminder that for most people with vasodilatory shock we should be targeting a MAP > 60 mmHg (not 65). A lower MAP goal was associated with a shortened duration of vasopressors & possibly reduced mortality. With vasopressors, less is truly more. https://t.co/85Rtv2gHgg

How I Talk About Left Main PCIs - And You Should Too!* 🧵 (*A suggestion of course!) This is one of the cases from my talk on MCS for high risk PCI. Case first, then the analysis. 86 year old man, unstable angina, EF 40%, turned down for CABG at OSH, transferred with IABP.

Beautiful description 🫀🫀 The mitral valve (anterior leaflet) is designed to direct blood flow towards a smooth sliding path which begins at the basal posterior wall and ends at the LVOT—thereby minimizing LV energy expenditure during ejection.

PA angio for fellows. This is a case of mild valvular PS with only 40 mm Hg peak gr. There is no relation between severity of PS and degree of post stenotic dilatation, dilatation is confined to MPA & LPA in post stenotic dilatation of valvular PS and almost always spare RPA

For fellows(From NIC Chennai) Diagnosis could have been made within a few seconds using echo. This is taken just to highlight the importance of looking at the levophase of pulmonary angiogram which is almost always neglected by students during practical exam.
