Great article but totally wrong recommendation. Ambiguity on Russian oil gives some leverage to India. Refusing to buy Russian oil will embolden Trump (alienate RUS) and openly buying more will add fuel to his frustration about not being endorsed by Modi for the Nobel.

If all the foreign policy successes were due to Modi and his personality, then all the humiliations that India is facing also lie at his door. You can't pass the buck to anyone else. How have you prepared India in the 11+ years as PM to deal with all situations? Evidently not.
