For those asking for an update:
- Jaiden decided to go back to school today. With his patch will in place. He said he'd do a sit-in if necessary to protest.
- Two law firms have stepped forward to assist as necessary to fight the viewpoint discrimination.
- Lots of media…
Meet 12yo Jaiden who was kicked out of class yesterday in Colorado Springs for having a Gadsden flag patch, which the school claims has "origins with slavery."
The school's director said via email that the patch was "disruptive to the classroom environment."
Receipts in the 🧵
Jaiden ate lunch alone today. Played chess by himself.
But I told his mom that he's got millions of friends across the country now who are inspired by him. Leave a comment to Jaiden below and I'll share it with him! 💪🏽
UPDATE: Jaiden attended school today. Nobody said anything about his patch.
Nice to know that millions of Americans are on his side and bringing the heat to this absurd school administration and their stupid policy.
He's a happy kid and I'm proud that he stood up for…
Best quote from the Matrix (Morpheus speaking to Neo):
"You have to understand, most of these people are not ready to be unplugged. And many of them are so inured, so hopelessly dependent on the system, that they will fight to protect it."
So much truth in that last line.

As you can hear his mom say in the video, Jaiden wanted to stand up for his (non-racist!) beliefs. So after he was kicked out of class, he asked his mom to take him to the news station to get the word out.
(He got the idea from a
@tuttletwins
book 💪🏽)
They declined an interview
So what rule was he actually breaking? According to the director, this one (see highlight).
Though it's unclear what alleged slavery connections have to do with drugs, tobacco, alcohol, or weapons.
They cited
@USEEOC
, which admitted that the flag "originated in the Revolutionary War in a non-racial context"…
But then said "However, whatever the historic origins and meaning of the symbol, it also has since been sometimes interpreted to convey racially-tinged messages…"
The director then argued that the flag is associated with "hate groups," linking to this weak article that cites a "graphic design scholar" 😂 who claimed that "some may now see the Gadsden flag as a symbol of intolerance and hate—or even racism."

I challenge anyone who opposes your bill to identify a single metric that has improved in public education as a result of the US Department of Education.
They can’t. Because there are none.
@elonmusk
@pmarca
This is why public schools are doomed to fail — they are trapped in 19th century thinking, training children for an economy that no longer exists.

This is how we take our country back — creating a million more Jaidens who learn from a young age what their rights are.
When I started writing

Health care is not a human right.
Housing is not a human right.
Education is not a human right.
You have no right to others' labor. Your "rights" aren't rights if they require taxing/enslaving others to provide you the products/services you demand.
They're not "public schools." They're *government* schools.
These taxpayer-funded institutions have had many names over the decades—common schools, factory schools, neighborhood schools, and public schools.
Best to describe them for what they are: government schools.
Health care is not a human right.
Housing is not a human right.
Education is not a human right.
You have no right to others' labor. Your "rights" aren't rights if they require taxing/enslaving others to provide you the products/services you demand.
Suicide = killing yourself
Homicide = killing someone else
Genocide = killing a large group based on ethnicity/nationality
Democide = a govt. killing its own citizens
The latter is by far the most deadly. In the 20th century alone, 262 million people were killed by democide.
Remember how outraged everyone got after the Catholic sex abuse scandal? Countless articles, public outrage, swift backlash.
The scale of sexual abuse in government schools “is nearly 100 times greater than that of the Catholic Church.”
And yet, crickets.
I think it's time we retired the word 'liberal.'
The original liberals were what we today call libertarians.
Today, those who use this term are typically anti-speech, anti-freedom, pro-control, pro-coercion.
That's not liberty. That's authoritarianism.
Over the past decade, my wife and I have had scores of families over for dinner.
Maybe 2% of them reciprocated.
For a while I thought it was something about us, but then I heard from others who are outgoing/inviting that they experience the same thing.
What do you think?
The idea that the Gadsden flag is rooted in racism is beyond ridiculous. It served as a warning to King George and Britain not to violate the liberties of American colonists. In fact, in 2014, a USPS worker in Denver, CO filed a complaint of racial discrimination with his…

What a comically bad defense — "I was lying to impress a date!"
It's quite clear that he fears being fired for revealing secret truths, not lies. (Otherwise why try to destroy the iPad?)
Guilty as sin.

Two biggest ?s I have today:
If my church is so concerned about medical cannabis, why the silence everywhere until it might happen in Utah?
If concerned about youth and public health and safety, why the silence about opioids which are, you know… *killing* hundreds?
@MittRomney
Has there been any foreign military intervention you *haven't* supported?
Our shared religion requires us to "renounce war and proclaim peace," yet you are typically war's biggest cheerleader — always under the false cloak of "security" and "America's interest."
@SenatorRomney
Actual history tells us that when we intervene in the affairs of other countries we get drawn into lengthy battles that waste lives and money and don’t result in peace.
Let this be a lesson — document your encounters w/ government employees. Had Jaiden's mom not recorded the video, this wouldn't have got nearly the attention that it did.
Important: not all states let you record secretly like this, but most do. Details:
@ninaturner
So corporations aren’t “greedy” when inflation is low?
They suddenly decide to be altruistic and noble…?
Maybe… just maybe… inflation happens because the money supply is itself inflated by creating trillions of new dollars to pay for all the “greedy” spending by politicians.
This country needs a lot more jury trials (95% of cases are resolved through prosecutorial plea deals)…
and a lot more jury nullification.
There's a fun history behind jury nullification that hardly anyone knows about. Story below… 🧵
I find it curious that in many dystopian novels, the authoritarian state always undermines the family.
Babies separated from their parents.
Mothers turned into birthing persons.
Kids raised by the state.
There's a warning and a lesson there for those with eyes to see.
Oh and our law doesn’t just apply to lemonade stands as the cops claimed. It applies to any economic enterprise kids set up. They can sell or do anything freely.
Dog walking, selling toys, babysitting, an Etsy shop, lawn mowing, etc.
They are exempt from licenses, permits, and…
Years ago,
@RonPaul
was booed on stage for suggesting that the U.S. govt. should practice the golden rule and treat other countries the way we would want.

1. Truth matters and needs defending
2. Standing on principle requires a leap of faith
3. If stupid things aren't mocked, they spread
Homeschooling allows kids to ask hard questions, make autonomous decisions, and explore their true interests, untethered from a one-size-fits-all education system.
Let them ask why and challenge the mainstream—it will equip them to become future innovators and freedom fighters.
If there's ever a draft, I'll happily help my kids dodge it.
Military conscription is enslavement. My children are gifts from God, not cannon fodder for some illegitimate war.

Since the bill was passed we’ve helped thousands of kids experience entrepreneurship via our Children’s Entrepreneur Marker program.

For generations, conservatives have been sending their kids to be educated by their ideological adversaries during their kids' most formative years of development.

This is like a warlord praising himself for killing fewer people than he used to.
Or a drug dealer patting himself on the back for giving fewer people fentanyl.
Or a fraudster content with himself for being a little less fraudulent.

The only diversity that matters is that of thought.
Having a sexually diverse echo chamber of like-minded partisans propping up a Weekend-at-Bernies president is not any kind of diversity I nor most Americans care about.

Dystopian novels frequently show the state disrupting the family unit — pushing parents aside and turning procreation into a formulaic ritual after which children are removed to be educated by the state's institutions.
There's a warning in there for those with eyes to see.
Julian Assange should be praised as a hero of intrepid journalism.
That he's being persecuted by the most powerful government is a testament to its corruption.
Four decades ago, homeschooling was illegal in almost every state.
Now there are millions of kids being educated outside the government system.
The future is bright.
