It’s actually not as bad as it looks. Most of it is just preservatives burning off, just a little bit of oil. The smoke comes from cycling the preservatives out with the actual fluids used in running the motor. This is probably the cleanest time of an engines life.

Because knowing the cost of each flight won’t change if you provide less seating. Each passenger would be paying about an extra 60-65% on ticket prices. I don’t think anyone wants that. The best course of action would be to have a couple rows that had wider seats.
